Obviously I was not there when we played em but the score does not suggest they totally ran away with it, so why are we convinced it's gonna go badly

Sometimes the scoreline doesn't reflect a teams dominance.

Dont think the score reflected due to a tactic employed which basically killed the game..The second half was non existent for both teams.

Looking forward to not seeing the same tactics employed in the CC..

Wonder if the loan and dual players will play?

Dual reg thing is interesting in the cc don't know what the rule is I would imagine that if they play for one of the duel teams in comp then they can't play for the other later in the comp.
As for the Leigh game like I say I was not there.
Sounds interesting tho what tactic was used to kill it? That suggests assuming it was Leigh they thought we would bounce back so shut the game down, if they were so dominant why didn't they rack up 50 or 60

So we'll be concentrating on the Championship then?

Can't see parent clubs allowing dual reg players to play. Sean Morris, who played for Oxford in the league cup, was not in their squad last round. He wasn't named in the London squad either.

I think that the normal rule is dual reg players do not play, in case they are needed by their "home" club later. I am not sure about the tactics comment, would be interested to know more. Its a double edged sword the draw i think. On the one hand an easy draw, and a win is a positive - wins are wins. Getting knocked out early means we concentrate on the league, Leigh win and get involved in a cup run may distract them and ..............

Still hopeful we can win, in USA so cant be at the game, so please people keep me updated!

I do hope the used lube when they got shafted.

I think the score could have been greater had Leigh completed sets and played a more controlled game similar to the first half. They thought they were the Harlam globe trotters at times. They need to play a more controlled game for 80 mins this time because London will only improve as the players get bedded in and over confidence could our downfall.

Quite simple really,slow the game down..Which you did very well in the second half..Didn't make for pretty rugby from either side,but kept the scoreline down.

I have to agree! What numpty made this a Friday night fixture and FOR what reason?

I'm wondering if there's some other big event or events in the area on Saturday and Sunday and it's be moved by police 'request'. Can't imagine Leigh being that happy, as they'll probably lose some support.

Bolton v Wigan derby on the Saturday . Cant believe thats the reason though .

Seems to be 2 conflicting views about the last Leigh game. One suggested Leigh three the ball about in 2nd other suggests game got killed by slowing it down.
So we had enoough folk there what was difference in 2 halves

I felt that Leigh started to disrespect possession and try the impossible. (someone likened it to the Harlem Globetrotters?) But I would say that - I'm a 'Leyther'!



The other viewpoint is that the Broncos tightened up in the second half and prevented Leigh from playing an expansive game. The reality, I suspect, was six of one and half a dozen of the other!

Should be interesting to see what happens next Friday.

Leigh Miners have tweeted that this is a Friday as LSV is booked for functions that weekend. It looks like Miners have been refused permission to play Oxford at Twist Lane so are likely to have been in touch with LSV about availability.
