Signing up opponent's (Bradford Bulls) players when they were imploding earlier this season should have been a priority and shows little desire or ambition to remain in Superleague. Missing a free agent like Fakir seems to confirm that.

Shame we didn't take a look at him or made him an offer. Not being funny as we closer to France at least if wanted to pop home for a weekend (after we been knocked out of CC), he have some weekends free. as it be easier for him to get home...

He was unfit so got dropped. He's been a good performer for them for a decade and only 31. For a prop that's not so old these days. Good signing for the Bulls if he's in shape now.

Would be an obvious target for us so i suspect we did approach him and he prefered Bradford. We are hardly going to get better now lets face it.

The first thing that I thought when I read that Fakir had been released by Catalans was "London should sign him." Well they didn't, despite the fact that the lack of powerful prop forwards is the starting point of the team's weakness. David Hughes should have been prepared to outbid anyone for Fakir, giving the lack of alternative talent available. The fact that he didn't shows that he is prepared to let the club drop down into the Championship.

The club desperately needs new ownership.

Fakir was a very good player in earlier years under previous coaches. It may well be that his recent drop in form is because he has had a falling out with his current coach. In such circumstances a change of club can be transforming for the player. Fakir may well bloom again at a new club. Bradford will find out, and may reap great benefits. London won't.
