Thing with Tomkins is where we play him. FB is a worry for me....he's not great under the bomb. Do we run him at Stand off? He is on a major chunk of our cap and I hope he deliverers on the park and the fans flock to see him.

Such a great player. He's going to have a tricky time to compete with Kevin Locke orFisiiahi.Think they will bulk him up in the strength and conditioning department like they have done with Shaun Johnson and will be able bring even greater elements to his game including the bomb.

Yeh, 1 RL team to follow must be long.Maybe in the future. Though the Hurricanes ain't a bad thing to watch in the mean time. The Savea brothers, TJ Perenara, Conrad Smith,Andre Taylor are mean as aye.

Have to admit that I haven't been to a canes or lions game since I arrived. Caught the AB's a couple of times and even had a box for the Kiwis v England encounter as well as Bocca (sic) juniors v the phoenix, but I have no interest in that supposed top tier level of club/rep rugby.
Prefer to catch petone panthers or Petone RFC during the seasons......much more fun (and cheaper ale!!)

There's little skin of AK's nose if fans turn up or not. He's got the rent, he's got some ticketing cash, he's got a few bob over the bar and in the food outlets, he'll flog a few shirts and he's got the RFL's marketing budget. This is all cash he wouldn't have had if we were somewhere else. He's rented us FULL TIME a venue that was occasionally used for parties and corporate events, he get's to open his venue 13 more times and will assuredly make money on match days AND HE'S BEING PAID BY THE RFL TO DO IT!

.....it really is the most astute piece of business he will have done in quite a few years. Fuck me, if the RFL had offered me to take the club on for all the benefits and none of the costs AS WELL AS paying me, I'd have been home like a shot!

Reckon we will see some record crowds this year
