Is this a first for us at Esher? I'm sure the ground does not meet Super League standards but with our average currently of 1800 that will be no problem, it will allow people to enjoy terracing again. It was a match with Easter and timing I was going to miss anyway!

Stuff it. I just can't be asked going that far to watch an 8pm game at a shabby ground. Would mean me getting home at 1am on public transport.

Is this the worst ground we have played at in SL? Reminds me of the Chiswick days.

It's nowhere near SL standard that's for sure - in fact I am pretty certain that Esher RFC, had special permission to play in the Championship last season - as it wasn't upto that standard either.

Interesting question to ask for referees. If the pitch was playable last week surely the pitch would be okay now or have I missed something and there has been further bad weather, rain and snow in London.

Quins have a Hieneken Cup QF coming up, so it'll be because of that.

The club have really outdone themselves this time. Probably the most laughable move I have ever witnessed while following Rugby League. Or any professional sport. I am utterly lost for words.

Looking at Esher's website, there's a decent clubhouse, but the ground itself makes Chiswick look like the Halliwell Jones. Wrap up warm, kiddies - doesn't look like there's much shelter from the wind!

So we have 3 games scheduled over 9 days and this presented the perfect opportunity to postpone the fixture and save it for later in the year when we have been knocked out of the CC and when the weather is better......but the club and players elect to play at this sub-standard ground. Brains of a friggin rocking horse thats what I say.

If we'd postoned,we may well have been held responsible for catalans travel costs.....Gus should have told the landlords to off....we've paid for the pitch,but now he has yet another excuseforyet another crowd......

I already have to drive from Stevenage via Reading to get to the Stoop on a Bank Holiday weekend getaway, no way am I driving the rest of the M25 to go to this game in the park.

Why not play the game on Sarries plastic pitch? Crazy decision although I'll probably still go as I've re-arranged my day off to Thursday for the game.
