| A company is to produce diecast models of the Stobart Super League Trucks.
I've put some details on the League Marketplace part of the RLFANS site including prices.
So you can check it out the link is below:
[urlhttp://viewtopic.php?f=63&t=526819&tsmp=1336162070[/url
There are 15 to choose from (one for each club and the one of all club captains). If you would like a model just follow the instructions in the link or PM me - I can provide photos of the models directly.
Kind regards
Alan

| I saw a Cas one on the M25 about 5 weeks ago, it was exhorting the worker drones of the south east to go and support their local team. Most of whom probably idly wondered where Castleford was and if it was some new rugger club before carrying on with their dreary drive.
I spend more time than I like on the M25 and M4 and that's been my sole single spot. What an abberation of a sponsorship deal.

| I've seen 2. I think it's a reasonable deal all things considered. I'm sure The Lord God of Marketing - Gutterfax will be here in a minute to correct me on my opinion with a 500 word essay complete with emoticons and a detailed lesson on how they should have done it.

| if you're going to give it away probably best to an advertising hoarding company - something that people drive past day after day after day. Probably best not to give it away though - I must confess I dont know what else was on the table. Do I recall a betting firm?

I believe as it wasn't an exclusive deal they could make money from other deals

I think the deal in itself is OK. Let's face it, there wasn't a queue of heavy hitters lined up outside the RFL with their cheque books open. The RFL seem to make money....a few hundred grand from a betting firm is hardly a game changer, whilst billboards/outdoor advertising seem to make a living out of eyeballs seeing ads....
Quote Reasons for using Outdoor Advertising
•Outdoor advertising is the fastest growing traditional medium in the UK.
•Everyone who leaves their home is exposed to outdoor advertising!
•People now spend 70% of their time out of home.
•Unlike any other medium you don’t have to tune in, turn it on, dial up or turn the page to see it, it’s just there for free making it “Unavoidable”.
•Outdoor Advertising has been also known as the “Third space” which is the time we spend Out-of-Home and Out-of-Office. Previously it was dead time a time to get from A to B as quickly as possible. With the advent of phone and connectivity, it has become a much more active space allowing the consumers to engage with the advertiser on the go!'" [urlhttp://www.transportmedia.co.uk/[/url

| It has become a total joke! a special column each week in one RL weekly for those who have spotted a truck, I am on the motorway a lot and I have Never seen one, then most people who see them think it is an advert for Sky Sports! I suggested doing a deal with the BBC for Blue Peter Badges for those who see a trick! LOL
Like how some of the chairman of clubs are now up in Anger why was this deal ever passed! but they tend to be the clubs who did not even bother to attend the meeting to pass the deal and it was a very close vote.
Nice data to prove a case of course supplied by transport media UK, purely independent of course! when you are in marketing you can Spin anything you want to, come research time at the radio station we always had a nice intro for the news ready something like "The Number One Station in The North West" but we never did quantify what we were the number one for! We all see the backs of buses each and every day and I have had involvement with the commercial advertising sector all my career and it does not make any impression of the choices I may to buy!

Remind us again of how many boards you have sat on and how many of those companies currently pay for a space on our shirts or what % of your euro millions win you would invest in east London.....
The RFL make a profit....the club you say you follow, loses up to 2 million a year......yet you feel comfortable defending the loss maker and attempt to look clever badgering the money maker......
QED.......the defence rests.

Here we go again with the gospel according to Gutteffax, get off your high horse for once, if I had ever had taken your attitude I would never have lasted in my career, yes we debated strongly but None of us ever took the High Ground of forever thinking only I can be right.
The RFL make this big profit! why? because of one deal that Maurice Lindsay signed with BSkyB no other reason, we give away the Super League sponsorship for 100 painted trucks, I have not read any praise in either trade marketing magazines Marketing and Campaign? The Challenge Cup sponsorship is also given away for a pittance these days.
Yes I can't understand why we don't have a shirt sponsor, it is not without trying contacts in London I have spoke to, but it has to be someone who currently would take it as a tax advantage nothing else with the crowds and the success on the pitch, at least with one colleague I tried to sell it their brand which is now in the North would be seen at grounds with larger attendances and in some TV games!
Look at how you come over for once gutterfax, why you feel the need to ridicule anyone else who may say something? why?

If I was always right, I would have bought the club from DH years ago with the Millions I would have made....I am arrogant, for sure, but not so arrogant to believe I am always right.
Quote ="jaybs"The RFL make this big profit! why? because of one deal that Maurice Lindsay signed with BSkyB no other reason,'"
Maurice Lindsey signed the new TV deal did he? Or the one before that? The RFL make money through a numbe of iniciatives...not just from Uncle Rupert.
Quote ="jaybs"we give away the Super League sponsorship for 100 painted trucks, I have not read any praise in either trade marketing magazines Marketing and Campaign? The Challenge Cup sponsorship is also given away for a pittance these days.'"
So what....simply put, if you work on the maths used by any Outdoor advertising provider, the wagons will be seen by a certain number of eyeballs......that's all outdoor is. The RFL weighed up this offer against the supposed bookies offer...they took it to the 14 Clubs.......the Clubs voted on the offers......the RFL signed the deal accordingly......but you blame the RFL to back up your claim that it's a bad deal
Quote ="jaybs"Yes I can't understand why we don't have a shirt sponsor, it is not without trying contacts in London I have spoke to, but it has to be someone who currently would take it as a tax advantage nothing else with the crowds and the success on the pitch, at least with one colleague I tried to sell it their brand which is now in the North would be seen at grounds with larger attendances and in some TV games!'"
Shirt sponsorship is just one area that has been sorely neglected....the club went into "outsource" overdrive a few years back...it's now reaping what it sowed.....
Eric France wouldn't sponsor Wakey if the company's board weren't fans......nobody knows how much cash is changing hands between Probiz and Castleford.....times are hard, but a plain shirt, the only one in the competition is beyond a disgrace....
Quote ="jaybs"Look at how you come over for once gutterfax, why you feel the need to ridicule anyone else who may say something? why?'"
I don't give a F^&k how I come across. I call it as I see it. I don't ridicule for the sake of it....but I'll be buggered if I will listen to some of the bollox you come up with in defence of the fiasco unfolding in TW2.

Well I am not arrogant! and it never harmed me! LOL
Maurice brought Sky first to the table, of course he did not negotiate the last deal as he is no longer working in RL or Football due to ill health, I am no big fan of Maurice, but I Respect what he did for the game.
Well I listen to a lot of the rubbish you come up with, I take it in my stride, what do you hope you will baffle many? LOL!
I do not defend everything the club does, it is only a while back I was accused of attacking the club and then next minute I was in DH's pocket LOL, all I want to see if Our Club Succeed! Anyway if you have the Hot Line to the Club and Gus? why is the club not the success it should be? I am willing to admit leads I have given have never been taken up or actioned? and one reliable sources lead which was really genuine and an interested party never even received a call and they contacted me to ask why? as if I or Anyone here would know.

| Reading the threads that jaybs and GF oppose each other in is always a highlight of my day
@ GF - how much money does the RL make per year any ideas?
Also, no other professional sport I know have would have given away naming rights for advertising and I for one have never seen a Stobart Lorry with an SL advert - bloody madness!

| Could you have seen our neighbours Simon across the road at Union HQ ever selling their sponsorship for 100 trucks advertising, when they can get £25 million, no way, I think they will lie on the side of naming rights is worth good money and not a give away!! LOL

RFL publish their accounts - any press release the headline figures so pretty easy to find out.

Who decided to "give it away" Simon? Was it the RFL? Was it the Clubs?
Here's a clue...
[urlhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyleague/9050409/Hull-FC-and-Hull-Kingston-Rovers-both-voted-against-the-Stobart-Super-League-sponsorship-deal.html[/url
Nice picture of the MASSED RANKS of the press corps in attendance...
54k a club a season....less than 4% of the losses of the London Broncos.......less than 1.5% of the turnover of the club.
Please point out how Betfairs money would have been better .....maybe you could ask Keith Senior
