We desperately need to bring in some players on loan in order to form a competitive side this season. As I mentioned on another thread, Paul Prescott, a very useful prop, has ended up at South Wales. Realistically, I wonder who is out there for us? Hopefully Mac can take pity on us and send another couple of players our way. Paul McShane can't get into the side and Liam Hood seems to be more favoured and McShane is infinitely better than Chad Randall.

Knowing our luck it will be Douglas Bader, Long John Silver and David Blunkett......The defense wouldnt be any worse than it is currently though....

No room under the salary cap is there? If that's the case, the only way that I'm aware we could make any room would be by offloading some of our non-performers to another club. Who'd have 'em?

Personally i don't think its quality thats letting you down it hink it's confidence.
You are defintely are prop short and someone like Prescott would have really given you a boost.

The Cas game is the season breaker, win, i still think you could push for the play-offs, lose, probably all over.

If you get a win and some confidence, i still believe you have the players to do well, problem is, when you have lost your opening 5 games, you go on the field thinking your going to be beaten. You probably caught Salford at the wrong time, the confidence is starting to ooze in that team. Cas you have no excuses, their low on confidence.

Really hope you guys do well as i've always had a soft spot for London.

we would have to rely on clubs loaning us players and us not contribuing to their pay.

Prescott is returning from an operation in the off season and is currently trying to improve his match fitness. He played in the under 20s last week and has only been loaned to South Wales because our under 20s don't have a game this week (and we have a link up with South wales Scorpions). He can play in their less intense NRC game to improve his match fitness as he is not SL match fit and so would not get a game to aid his recovery otherwise. If he was match fit to SL standard he would be playing for Wigan v Catalans. He is not being made available for loan in the traditional sense so you would not have a chance of getting him on loan. You may be able to get one of our younger forwards who are looking to progress from under 20s level but not the likes of Prescott who would be a starting prop if fully fit.

Expenditure on coaching staff is not covered by any salary cap I believe.

I'm not sure we are at salary cap, as all through the off season it was towards, or near to, etc so I reckon there is money to found for a loanee, just not a season-long loanee.

Karl Pryce? I don't know if he's injured or not but he's not getting a look in at the Bulls currently.

Bring back big Karl?- now I know we are desperate!
