What's the crowd like there?

From listening on the radio sounds like it's a decent crowd. Commentators said it's as full as they've sen ti for some time. Bronocs winning 18 - 16.

Thoughts on the game, Positives! Negatives!

From the outside, George Riley was giving try by try updates, don't normally even get a mention on BBC 5 Live when Soccerballs on, and Yawnion on too so that's positive.

What was the crowd like and what were your first impressions of Michael Robertson, he's a player I rated in the NRL.

Positives: you didn't go.

Negatives: I did, and we lost

If I did go it would of meant possibly bumping into a moaning, depressing, sad little mug like yourself.

Dashing off to "work" shortly so may post later. Very quickly, crowd was given as 4,932, wish we played in the 2nd half as we did in the first half. Kauffisi is one big hitter

Great effort by the boys, not much centre play but that was to be expected. Colbon was a revelation and we suffered when he went off. Poor defence in the middle of the field. Dixon was good and did not look out of place, whilst Dorn was out of sorts. Saints look efficient and will tear some sides to pieces. Too much reliance in kicks but our pack matched their. Overall, better than expected and will get better.

Decent enough crowd, especially with the conditions.

Have the Broncos sorted a shirt sponsor out yet?

Robertson was superb. Top signing. Unfortunately we are badly suffering in the middle.

Bumped into people who have not been for six years. Great to see them and can only be good news that people coming back. The potential is definatetly there. Still a problem in the centres though that may be unfamiliarity. Enthused for the rest of the season. Feel Saints are going to have a good year so encouraged. Still dont like losing

A few missed tackles cost us the game. I though Rodney was impressive and looked for work.

Difference today compaired to the last two seasons! saints had to WIN the game rather than us giving it to them on a plate like we did on so many games
Difference between the two teams, have to agree it was Lomax and Roby

Witt played well, Kuaffusi will be a crowd fave this year, Dorny fluffed a couple of pick ups that he shoudl have nailed safely, good to see Gower getting the lads together and giving em talking too when we gave away silly penalties
The big fear of being ripped apart in the centres did not happen
We do seem to have a bit of grunt up the middle
Overall, good signs, crowd could have been better but rubbish weather, still bigger crowd than the Salford game in there big new stadium.

Despite the loss thoroughly enjoyed the game

Surprising number of old Broncos jumpers there. I'm a post-Broncos era fan, and the Union connection wasn't a problem for me, but I was impressed by how many were out in the old colours.

We had about three times more pressure in the last 20 than Saints, but didn't have the guile or power to get over the line. J'OC was stopped three times within five metres. Saints weren't as good as they usually are, but they showed their traditional strength at the breakdown thanks to Roby and Lomax and were able to score from long-distance. Still, a good day out. It felt like we had only three or four close finishes at home in the last two seasons, and we should be in for more excitement this year.

Good crowd and an enjoyable game. I liked the fact that the announcer pointed out it was the biggest crowd of the season.
I bumped into Maurie Fa'asavalu and asked him if he'd decided to watch a proper game for a change? He just laughed.

Honest answer, its nice to beat saints and do the double on Leeds etc
but IMO the games we should be winning are Wakey/Cas/Salford/Widnes pretty easily Hull/KR/Hudds/Cats/bradfurt should be our competative games, top 4 i see as Sts/wigan/leeds/wire and as long as they dont spank us am happy.

thats exactly what happened today, we gave a good account of oursleves and the returning fans should have gone home thinking "yep not bad" with what we produced today it could be a reasonable season

Just the third game together. I can only see the positives & improvements from the last two seasons. Great game lads & a shame about the penalty conversions given away.

I loved Olsi's try. Just like the old Clubby near the line - "gimme the ball near the line" I'm gonna score! The only Albanian to score in SL this year, the announcer didn't say!

The game aside I was really impressed by the great atmosphere especially in the West Stand. Its where we want to be and Im sure we are all glad the club have come round. Pity about the result but we were competitive and when we went behind we fought back and didn't cave in like last season. Benefit of having some hardy experienced pro's who have seen and done it all before and who have some real quality to offer. You can't ask much more from a team. We will go well this season, won't trouble the top 4 but we will be competitive.
