On a different tangent here, but following on from the Harlequins stuff do you reckon it would be worthwhile for the club to go to Sky and do a Sky Rewards ticket giveaway for a Broncos game that Sky are covering with us, one of our games at the Stoop or on the road.

Seems a win-win-win-win-win situation for everyone - Sky look generous to their customers, Sky Sports get a better crowd and therefore a better looking program, we get to spread the gospel on the Sky website, the RFL have one less reason to chuck us out (av crowds), we get a bumper crowd and the chance to tap into prospective fans

Also Sky would be suporting the Local club. Their offices are in Isleworth on the Great west road.

| Club needs to stop giving away tix. It devalues it. Only schools should be as a reward-type scheme like the London Knights with its Blades-for-Grades initiative.

| On the subject of places we're still being called Harlequins, I notice on the homepage of this website in the list of club messageboards we're Harlequins.
Also, BBC Sport's fixtures list for next season has all our games listed as Harlequins.

I wouldn't.
The Free tickets did nothing that shore-up the attendances last year and cost the club money whilst making it harder to sell in future.....the only way SKY should get involved in the Club is to grow a set of bollox and throw some serious money at us as they did with the Storm in the NRL.

| I've been a season ticket holder in seven of the last nine seasons and I haven't had any emails recently, and I haven't changed my email address in that time. Doesn't actually make any difference as I've got my finger on the pulse and will either go to games/buy tickets or not, but if they can't even manage to keep regulars like myself in the loop via email it does make me wonder.

The more you give stuff away, the more dificult it becomes to get people to pay for it....the only time this isn't the case is with drugs like Alcohol, Fags and the illegals........
PoD....I am 100% with you on this. Data is the key to any business being successful and the management of that data is even more important.
I am amazed that I have had 1 official Broncos email since the re-re-brand and a recent offer from Quins to clear their RL stock....the arrogance/belief that Facebook and Twitter will suffice is worrying.

Agree with your comments. More depressing is non-contact of youth season ticket holders from last season who claim not to have been contacted and have now missed out on the cheap renewal. How do I know they have missed out? Well I have been speaking face-to-face with a few today with their parents not happy about the lack of information and direct contact from Broncos and now finding they will have to pay full price. I expect season tickets not to be renewed and the expectation that "free or discounted" tickets will be made available throughout the season. Makes you think about the relaunch and re-branding exercise which could now be wasted.

I did question the value of the Evening Standard promotion last year, but I believe this one as an idea to be for one Sky Sports fixture and that a number of prospective fans are turned off by our poor crowds seen on tv, they haven't even researched the true extent of the problem the evidence is there to see. I would do it as a one-off targeted game and make sure you get five figures through the turnstiles, and the game, the team, the atmosphere, etc convince people that they could stretch to £15 a ticket in the future. A one-off promotion through Sky does not make it any harder than it did through ES, and I believe the positives, as stated elsewhere, outweigh the negatives.
The budget on the playing staff may have increased but the same attitudes remain in place as regards to marketing the club. Maybe a big Sky advert is the only way the club are going to spread the word beyond it's own fans. https://rewards.sky.com/skyloyalty/home/indexb.html and input Chad Randall for JTH and the best player from the opposition for Strettle and get it out there.
I believe the club are planning to offer some free tickets through ES again, although I can remember whether that was said for sure at the Fans Forum, so would it be better to favour the Sky reward route and look at a new and targeted audience, ie ones that have the equipment to view the sport on tv, the locale to travel to the ground and have the effort to get along to the game. There are a hell of alot of SS viewers of rugby league in the south, I would attempt to be innovative in ways to offer the tickets, rather than just 1000 free through ES. I do understand the devaluing angle, but for me it is more important to look solvent in the numbers of supporters stakes rather than quibble over the decline in the worth of the tickets through our own quantitative easing. Surely the pay-off is a worthwhile one if the end result is a game with a ground 2/3+ full, a decent game and lots of pretty young ladies handing out leaflets of how to get tickets for next weeks game. If the club are going to go down a free route, why not make it one that picks up as many passengers along the way, and I believe that you will get more paying passengers the following weeks because of it.

People can always...contact the club themselves to get tickets rather than wait for the club to pester them into it?

| I think several folk made the point within 10 days of the re-branding that nothing at the club had changed - except the logo.
We have a rubbish website. An e-newsletter that isn't. And a near blackout in terms of communication with existing supporters.
I suppose we must be grateful for the black cabs.

Yes I agree but the issue here is they are not regular supporters, are recent converts to league from Union and live miles from the club.

| Thank god I'm not the only one that was thinking this way, I thought it was just me. We had the long wait for the launch, enthusiasm peaked, and since then...............................one e-mail, next to nothing.
To be honest, my season ticket is ordered, but I'm quickly losing interest before a ball has even been kicked. It seems they sorted the name, designed the kit, and since then it's like a rudderless ship just drifting aimlessly along. I just hope that in the background the club are working their nuts off getting things into place, but they need to engage properly with the supporters.
Can we have a few updates Gus et al. Something/anything about the team, how training is going, how injuries are coming along, a few words from the players, news on sponsors, when can we expect London Broncos branded goods. I don't expect shirts and coats in the store but how hard would it have been to get "stocking fillers" in for Christmas such as keyrings, pens, bookmarks, mugs, lighters, mousemats, notebooks etc in the store, there's plenty of companies out there that produce them for companies. At the moment it seems the name has changed but the ethos remains the same

I think you need to give up with this windup or else you have completely lost the plot.
