Hopefully this means the Evening Standard will acknowledge there are other domestic leagues in this country beyond the FA Premier League. Sorry but I'm not sure how much credit should go to the Paper when they will not have paid a penny for the right to give away free tickets and they have the common sense to keep your personal information for future use.

"Successful applicants" should be anyone who wants to request a pair of tickets and hopefully the Evening Standard get over 2,500 requests; the only tangible cost is the printing of the ticket and the increased stewarding cost. I imagine there will be a number of requests and no-shows so hopefully 5,000 is not a cut-off because I want 5,000 extra people in the ground, not 5,000 tickets given away.

You would hope the club gets the applicants details too.

Knowing the club they will cram everyone into the one stand, not open extra food and bar concessions, no extra stewards giving everyone the worst possible match day experience.

Needs all the supporters to push it as well imo. Posters on here keep saying this is what the club/rfl need to do and that the previous strategy is wrong - well now they have done it so everyone needs to get family friends and acquaintances to take the plunge. If only 2,500 turn up I don't know where we go from here, bearing in mind season ticket holders are counted.

To answer the question on data ownership...both the standard AND the Club will get the data.......I suspect a fair amount of it will be for rented accommodation in the Shepherds Bush area or for houses with a WF10 postcode, but who cares...with 5,000 freebies we could be looking at an 8k gate.

There was a poster on the giveaway boxes too, which is how I learned about it. I had given up on the Standard, as they have given us no mentions at all so far this season, unlike Wycombe Wasps, Watford Saracens and Reading Irish. Hopefully, money will talk from now on.

Delighted Quins have done this. I'm coming down regardless. Hope a few Cas fans get their mits on a freebie or 2. Going to London on a friday night isn't particularly feasible for most people, so it's a tough effort. Looking forward to the 2 games, lots of ale and hopefully 2 points. You only need 2500 individuals to apply for it to be fully subscribed - not 5000.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this in the Standard last night too. It was hard to miss.

Additionally, there should be links to this promotion on voucher/money saving websites to that we defo get the full 2500 subscribed.....cos that's where lots of people go to find deals etc for weekend activities. Majority of Evening Standards I see end up scrunched on the floor of a train.
