Tony did well and I am proud that he is one of our Club's Players! whatever the few may think.

Proud of Tony Clubb, proud of Harlequins RL, not really proud of the England performance. I looked into placing a bet for Clubb to score a hat-trick but closed the site thinking I would be wasting my money.

Exactly. Yere is arguably even worse than Clubb in defence. Took his tries well but any other would have done the same. Still, I'm pleased for him, hopefully he can get a grip this season and justify his ridiculously lengthy contract.

I have championed Mr Clubb for an England start for quite some time. I am glad he has repaid my faith in him. Well done Tony!

Like I said, I'm not going to argue with you, I said I was pleased for Tony but it was hardly a vintage performance. Kind of ironic that anyone on here would applaud Clubb's efforts today, yet criticize Mick Nanyn when he also scored bagfulls of tries by falling over the line.

Don't know what else you might mean - fact is that he had little chance to defend as part of the line because PNG hardly ever strung together a passing movement that went his way.

8/10 is great praise from you. I'd give him 9/10. In fact he was presented with few opportunities to do anything wrong. Could have dropped the ball but didn't. Though maybe he did on the second try - I thought Russell Smith might have been a bit generous to him.
