| Like the shirt, its high visibility really suits me. But the red shorts make the whole kit OTT, I'd prefer white shorts.

The away strip is a cracker and I have taken the plunge and told Mrs G to get me one while she is away. Initially I was not sure (to say the least), but that shirt has got to get people asking who we are.
Wonder what Dusty was doing?

 Don't say sorry......you're not
Serious question though.....was there some form of promotion going on? 2 blokes wearing horse outfits in that shirt would surely attract some attention (even if it was from the old bill)

That was just before he ate a dodgy curry and developed a nasty case of the "trots" and was rushed to "horsepital".He felt a bit "pony" at first but apparantly medical staff reckon he,s now "stable".When asked for a quote for the club newsletter he said "It was a bit of a "mare" but luckily a "pall-o-mine(o) called the club and explained that I "must(h)ang around casualty till I get the all clear.".The club mascot will not be pressing any charges against the Indian restaurant involved as he does not want to "stirr-up" any ill feeling and be "saddled " as a troublemaker..........
I,ll now get my coat............

It seems to be very popular judging by the number of supporters wearing them on matchday. I've always like the traditional Quins pastel quarters, but its nice to have something really distinctive and unique that isn't going to get confused with our union counterparts. I hope we can keep it for a few years and not just switch it for something completely different on an annual basis as is usually the case with away kits. Any rugby league fan will instantly recognise it and know exactly which team we are. I'm looking forward to wearing mine around the pubs of Wakefield in a couple of weeks time.

| Isn't it based on our Broncos shirt from the late 90's?

| Changing the subject slightly, our home shirt looked truly awful yesterday. On a dull afternoon, it was a mish-mash of indistinct washed-out colours. It is in a word : drab.
Let's get shut and adopt this year's away shirt as our home one in future.

My car window version of the Broncos shirt has (viewed from the front, going clockwise starting at the right shoulder): Red, Blue, Yellow, Blue. Right sleeve yellow, left sleeve red. Dunno about the back because my one is double-fronted.

| My away shirt got lots of positive comments in Edinburgh from all fans. Needs to be made our home strip in future no doubt.

Until recently I felt that now we’re Harlequins we should keep the “traditional” Quins shirt. Even tinkering with it and trying to make it look “not quite Quins” (e.g. the wonky quarters of a couple of years back, then reversing the sequence of colours last year) just made it look a mess.
Obviously the pastel colours are almost but not quite unique, as they are inevitably associated with our union partners, which leads to infuriating confusion at times – a classic example being when Castleford’s programme printers sourced a photograph of some union players for our match there last year!
However this new away shirt has really grown on me. It’s really distinctive, the combination of a red/blue/yellow shirt is unique as far as I can see amongst major football/rugby clubs of any code, and therefore gives us our best chance of having a shirt easily recognisable as being Harlequins RUGBY LEAGUE. The quarters design is simple and striking and also reflects the Harlequins tradition of a quartered shirt, but would be solely ours. And of course it would also maintain a link with the club’s past when a very similar shirt was worn in the previous spell at The Stoop. As has already been mentioned the pastel shirt looks a bit drab on the field (although I’ve always liked it as a leisure shirt and still do) whereas this red/blue/yellow version stands out a lot better during matches. Even if it’s only retained as the away shirt I think it would be a shame to abandon it for something completely different (and inevitably less striking and recognisable as uniquely ours) next year or the year after.
If this was to become our first choice shirt I for one would be happy to go along with that.

| The more of us that buy one the better. The club have already chosen it as the first team strip for a few games that they didnt have to. They seem to sense we like it, so everyone buy one.
