A quote from their Chief Executive's column in yesterday's programme:

'A debate has raged as to whether or not we should be obliged to play two home games 'away', a point I have raised with Super League at a recent regulatory meeting. Watch this space!'

Might mean we will play them at Wrexham, a good ground with easy access. Incidentally, the gamblers here might put a quid or two on Huddersfield for Old Trafford - they were devastatingly efficient yesterday.

Neath is an OK old ground, but not the sort you’d want to have as part of a SL Licence application. Wrexham is a decent ground with three modern all-seated stands plus a substantial covered terrace at one end that seems to be mysteriously disused. It’s a nice size for Superleague rugby, and it couldn’t really be any closer to the station.



I know Crusaders had a difficult winter one way and another but I don’t really see the point in them playing any games in South Wales now. They might be doing the new South Wales club a small favour by letting the locals there see the standard of rugby to which their own club aspires in the long term, but I don’t see that they’re doing themselves or their own new fanbase any favours by playing there.

The covered teracing is closed for (guess what!) Health & Safety reasons. The long term plan is to replace it with seating.

Understand, it's part of the Wrexham re-location "agreement" with the RFL.
