I could be pedantic and say that Daneil Heckingberg definitely won't be coming to Widnes, but Daniel Heckinberg might, but who am I to be like that? If it was true, it'd be great to see Hecks back in English RL.

I'm talking about your club in general. You're hardly in a position to start throwing around disparaging remarks about other clubs. But this is nothing new from you. No respect, no tact, and if he was going to a different club you'd be wishing him the best.

I'm unaware of our club employing any injury prone players. Care to enlighten me? Please stop your unfounded accusations. If you are happy with your club throwing money down the drain then that is your perogative, I really couldn't care less what Widnes are doing.

As I stated earlier and you have predictably ignored, I wasn't going on about injuries. At least we have an excuse for not playing well. We have more injuries than probably anyone else. What's your excuse for the state of your club?

Daniel Heckenberg was at the Hull KR game, didn't speak to him. No suprise that he was released at the end of 2009 as he had very bad luck with injuries, particularly his shoulder. More than reasonable prop-forward with a good go-forwards.



Will do well in the lower leagues every time he takes the field.

How's that for glorious irony. Serves me right for mocking another's mis-spelling!

Daniel Heckenberg played in 24 out of 27 games in the 2006 season.



He featured only 12 times all season in 2007 and also made just 12 appearances in 2008.



He became well recognized at this point as an injury prone player with a shoulder that popped out and only played about 40% of games.



In the 2009 season he appeared in 22 out of 27 games, however he was forced to leave the field in the first half at least twice due to his recurring shoulder injury.



He would, if he was to return to Quins probably compete for a place on the bench at best. He would not displace any first choice Prop or Backrower in Purdham, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Temata, Golden or Williamson. I would also suggest he would be unlikely to displace Wilkes or Ward which is probably why he was released.



I would describe him as a solid Prop; He does not have the magic flair of a Haggerty, he possesses little try scoring ability or pace or fierce aggression but unlike Matt James he can catch and unlike some I've seen in a Quins shirt he can make most of his tackles and runs his weight in the pack.



It would be a surprise if at 32 he signed for a top team in the Championship who should be building for a licence rather than adding to the overseas quota, but he could do a damn fine job if he was signed.

Widnes havent used there overseas quota spot for the last 3 years.



Daniel is also 30 according to my sources not 32?

Was workmanlike until his first "popping" and was never the same after that.

He's a good solid prop when fit, nothing flashy, but works hard, only problem is his shoulder.

He's an extremely nice bloke too (always had time for the fans and gave 100%).
