Received today's RL Express and they report that the RFL have interviewed Brian Mac, Steve McNamara & Denis Betts for the England job. Apparently, both John Kear and Brian Noble have not been interviewed.

Perhaps this could be one way to get ourselves a new coach. But even so, none of these potential names feels me with anything other than dread for England.

Horrendous if true. No logic. Would be glad to see the back of Mac but as an England RL fan Id be disgusted if any of this lot get the job.

Is this the dream ticket for Quins fans? Mac gets the England job, Quins receive substantial compensation from the RFL, honour is upheld all round.

Bringing in a British Coach is great in principle but are theses candidates really what we need to take the game forward.

Is the spec for the job to bring a team together for 4 internationals a year or is it to develop the game in UK like Waite did or both?

McDermott does not have the credentials to coach the GB team full top.
