The lowest gate for a Sky Super League game is, I believe, when the we played Halifax away in their last season in the top flight (2003).

I know many Hudds fans who like the Quins game yet are not travelling down due to:

- tight finances
- extra games at Easter
- sky

I suspect it will be 1500 or less. i genuinely wish it is far higher.

I'd be very surprised it if was that low.

I sometimes wonder if the bookies just cover RL for the sake of it. Castleford hammering us was made less painfull a couple of years back due to a hefty bet on us to lose heavily after the blanket banning of most of our team after the Catalans game.

There have been some very dodgy handicaps. If I remember rightly you gave Wakefield a 6 start first game of the season which many on here took advantage of.

In other news, Crusaders have managed to PRE-SELL 4,000 tickets for their game against Catalans Dragons which is LIVE on Sky on Friday night......we have never had a crowd of 4,000 for a game v Catalans...although I am sure their are some on here who will be more than happy to defend the club blindly pointing out that it's year 1 (so what) in a new town, with nothing else much going on (countered with high unemployment) and various other inane excuses.

That's because Gareth Thomas, a Welsh Sporting Legend, is making his debut for them.

As much of a tw@ I can be, I will be up at the crack of dawn to watch the game wearing my quins shirt and devouring what little nails I have left. If I had to name something I really miss about blighty Quins RL on match day would be in the top 5

No it's not, people in North Wales aren't all that interested in Thomas or RU, sure it adds interest but it's not responsible for the crowd and to suggest it is is both unfair and inaccurate.

think the crowd will be lower than usual against us due to sat night on sky, ive been down to quins every year since the double header which was on sky which i missed and will be missing on saturday along with the usual people that go with me usually 10 to quins. 2 reasons really for me saturday night kick off and on sky, work at 5 in morning dont help either.

I have no problem with free tickets at all. I have a problem with bad planning and reactive marketing campaigns. Remember, we looked for a facebook 2,000 for Salford and yet have accepted 1,500 a week later.....none of which has resulted in anything other than abuse of the system.
In short.......less than 2k with free tickets should be the end for the back office staff responsible for marketing and promotion....in fact, less than 5k is a disgrace if you're going to give tickets away, but I bet the attitude is...."if we give it away they will come".....with NO MARKETING how will THEY know



The most upsetting thing is that in all this disaster of a season I am starting to sound like storminateacup bronco or even worse, rupe1...and all I really want is for the club to succeed.....
