| I'd happily do so. At least he had some idea about breaking the line and going forward.
And he had pace.

He has pace, but thats it. He doesn't use it when driving it in, stands too flat, hasn't made a clean break yet this season and he must have the most missed tackles in the league for a forward. Absolute gash, i'd happily see him back at Harlequins!

| Hopefully we can sort out a deal.
Ryan Esders and Luke Williamson for Michael Worrincy and Glen Hall.
Fair deal?

You're not having the Rig!!
I'd happily swap Worrincy for either of them though.

| Quote He has pace,'" But not enough to chase back players he has missed in the tackle!! 3 tries he was at fault for last night.
I was chatting to the missus whilst watching the game last night about the tackling technique of London trained players. I have mentioned before on here that I thought LMS and Clubby both tackle with their arms which is what Worrincy tried to do last night.
It then led me to think that maybe we dont teach good tackling technique down south(a very general comment I will admit)- Just a thought.
As Nobby always says " bend your back!"

| quite interested in the last comment, i was always under the impression if you dont use yr arms then its pretty easy for the bloke yr tackling to errr run away!!
I think the big problem with a lot of RL players in general these days when trying to tackle someone with momentum, unless you get the technique right going high is never going to work and lots of players will break the tackle
but even then you have to use yr arms!!
proirity these days seems to be locking up the ball rather than taking the bloke to the ground
That is a technique taught by some coaches, try to stop the momentum of the attacking player by going high and wrapping he ball up and then leaving it as late as possible or even after the "held" call to take the player to ground allowing more time to set the defensive line!! risks the penalty tho
all tackles need use of the arms tho

That pretty much shows how little you know. Have a listen to Cullen on B n A if you want a scientific explanation.
I think and would hope you were being a little mischievous with your arms are needed comment. If not maybe its you who shouts at the players take the legs, they cant run without them. Very 70's and 80's Im afraid
The perfect tackle is to stop momentum(Shoulder generally as arms are weak levers to stop 15 stone of momentum), wrap the ball to prevent the offload, hold up for as long as you can whilst driving back(usually by being joined by a second and third tackler as shown by Hudds allowing the defence to get set) then take the player to the floor with the third man on top getting off, allowing tacklers 1 & 2 to get off with the defenders head facing his try line and with him on his back.
The arms in all of this are clamps. I wouldnt teach 9 year olds to tackle with there arms in RL, maybe union where you sometimes get a huge size differential ie scrum half and second rower
As for running away did you see the 3 Warrington players that ran away from Worrincy in the act of scoring 3 tries due to his arm based tackling technique.

For at least two of those tries, whether or not he went high/low, clamped arms or whatever else were all irrelevant - he made no contact at all!

| Good bit of business by his agent when he went to Bradford.....let's hope that he can't repeat the "sales job" and get him flogged back to us.
