on the replays there was not a great angle on the incident as they followed the ball, but my first impressions watching it live were that he "appeared" to veer into Ganson after having a quick glance at who it was

Absolute Joke,who makes the decisions to even report these incidents ? I think due to the terrible standard of the refereeing in our game at the moment,Clattering the Ref should be actively encouraged. After all it would be the only time ALL Supporters in attendance would Cheer .
