| Bolger, Clubb, Esders, Gale, Golden, Howell, James, Jones-Bishop, Kaye, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Melling, O'Callaghan, Orr, Randall, Sharp, Ward, Wilkes, Williams, Williamson.
Wakefield Wildcats squad
Gleeson, Millard, George, Jeffries, Brough, Tronc, Newton, Korkidas, Ferguson, Morrison, Demetriou, Obst, Johnson, Henderson, Murphy, King, Leo-Latu, Morton, Moore.
So here we go first game of the Season and a line up that alot of people perdicted. I expect Bolger and O'Callaghan to miss out..
Wakey have a very good squad there to choose from. They look to have some good forwards in that lot,so i guess unlike us they not carrying any injuries..

| You have to laugh........Leeds have a few players out for their game tomorrow night and even with their player resources the supporters are already discussing the need to recall Jones-Bishop from loan
They should try supporting our lot...........not kicked a ball yet and half the first team are crocked

What is the likelihood of that happening at some stage? I mean, we signed him on loan for the season - can Leeds curtail that agreement if they want him back, and if so how much notice do they have to give us?

I have to agree with you Alan but I prefer Bolger and Melling to miss out. Melling is not a winger and doesn't even averagely play well there. I'd rather have a player in there with the right skills (and a decent amount of experience now) rather than slot an experienced full back in just because he has a lot of experience. OC will not let us down and the sooner BM recognises it the better. End of last season he had the chance to give OC a go and didn't. Sadly expect him to do the same this season.

| I wouldn't have minded us getting Shane Tronc, he's the sort of forward we really needed to sign rather than our selection of uninspiring second-row forwards. I'm worried we still lack the go forward we missed last year, we lost Haggy who gave us a bit of size and impact (when fit). Wilkes is the only one of our signings who adds a bit of size, but I'm not sure he gives enough impact. Temata is a massive loss at the moment.

Lighten up. Apart from the current antiquated ground I think you'll find most Quins fans probably regard Wakey as a positive example of what can be achieved against the odds. John Kear has done a fantastic job there IMO. Our annual away game at Belle Vue is a must-visit for me personally, thanks to the friends I've made there and the great selection of pubs in Wakey, where you always end up chatting to complete strangers who treat you like old friends.
Superleague without Wakefield would be a poorer Superleague for me personally.

| I agree, John Kear has done a fantastic job on little resources and if we could finish above Wakey this season I would be very happy. Never mind a sing-song before the game on Saturday anyone for a prayer session? I think we will need it. Though judging by the injuries we may have offended someone up there. All I ask it that the players play with passion and commitment and not like the surrender-monkeys that turned out the second half of last season!

Yeah, your'e right, apologies, but having watched Wakefield for over thirty five years , on occasions I get a little over protective when I feel someone is 'having a go', and there are some on these boards (not neccessarily Harlequins) who seem all too fond of sticking the boot into the club I love, given half a chance.
Can't wait for Saturday, life is suddenly woth living again, the Rugby League season has started again.
Cheers.

| Looking forward to seeing the game and you Wakey fans also. You are very welcome. We always have good rapport with your lot, even if BV has become a bogey ground for us in the recent years. We are also a bit paranoid, but we like Crusaders fans, we know that they are out to get us.

I'm an Aussie, and I am sick of watching NRL hacks and those past their used by date running around superleague. Far too many blokes earning money over their value in this comp.

You'll see. Looked very good in the friendlies, a big unit who can last the pace and got a decent off load thrown in for good measure too. Him and Korki will complement each other with Moore coming on in spells to give us a big impact same with Paul King when hes fully fit. Can't make the game this weekend due to amateur club commitments but hope its a great game with a Wakey win of course. All the best!

=#8000FFHe can keep up with the pace of the game yeah, but I think he was talking about him being extremely slow, he was probably the slowest player in the NRL but he does make up for it being powerful and having that good offload of his.
