is our head coach really on?
I cannot make my mind up whether his quotes are just misinterpreted in how he intends to convey them, or that he really just doesn't even know which plot it is to lose..............or worse, he thinks his intended audience just don't read/understand them.

Quote Harlequins Rugby League head coach, Brian McDermott, says Friday's 56-0 victory over Skolars has prepared his side for Saturday's season opener against Wakefield (3pm KO).
"The game against Skolars was originally meant to mark us finishing off our preseason process, the icing on the cake as it were.'"
So unless I am going mad we also intended to have one other pre season friendly against Crusaders, and that would have been the cake? sod going to any of his tea parties then!
Quote "Unfortunately - due to weather - it was our only preparation game, so we needed to get a little bit more out of it than we originally envisaged. We did some things in the game to challenge ourselves, like giving the opposition the ball a little bit more and I think the boys did very well.'"
New coaching techniques, give the opposition the ball and see how they get on..........call me cynical but I thought we perfected that technique rather well in the second half of last season. Lets try this one, keep the effing thing and see what we can do with it!!
Quote "It's hard not to be excited because we put on a really good show, but we've got to be realistic as well and take our opposition into account. Our opposition on Saturday, Wakefield are going to be a lot more intense and our boys are going to be challenged in different and deeper areas."'"
Brilliant insightful stuff, playing the Skolars in a pre season friendly will not be the same as playing Wakefield in the competition proper..................bring back Rea, at least he intended his quotes to be misunderstood
