I could be really cynical and laugh at Hector McNeil's comment of Skolars having the opportunity to play in front of a "large crowd" when we're always criticised for our "poor crowds". I won't though, because it's fantastic news and I'm really looking forward to seeing Skolars and Quins back to back. Hopefully loads of us get there early enough to support Skolars for the entirity of their game too.

I'm glad Skolars feel able to move one of their home games away from their usual venue and I'll make an effort to get there and support them. I think there's a lot to be said for strength in numbers (as well as promoting local rivalry) when it comes to RL in the south east and hopefully this initiative will be a success. A shame the vagaries of the promotion and relegation situation wiped out the possibility of a Skolars v Leigh / Quins v Wigan double header as that probably would have been the ideal scenario for this sort of occasion. (It could be even better if there was a West London v South London RLC match to kick off a triple header.)

I'm looking forward to this.

If it's marketed right there could be a really good York following to boost the crowd, there's a good RL fanbase in York.

In fact Id go as far as to say if we marketed this right in a leeds free paper, a york free paper and in league express we could get 8k+ easy and really boost our average for the season.

And if we cant afford the ads in the locals, im sure League Express would do a good deal on an ad in the name of expansion.

An RL occasion marketed to RL people would make a nice change from the marketing brick wall that are union fans and aussies.
