Was interesting to hear Cullen's views on our defensive display on Sunday. I hope BM is pointing out the same crap errors that Cullen was as even I would be asking the 'defenders' a few questions after watching the video. Doesnt take much understanding

It was also interesting to hear his comments on Wakefields defensive failings, focusing on non other than Oli Wilkes

And it was utter b0ll0x bringing up the troubles of the Union team

OLI WILKES has been consistently good for us in defensive - he has only missed one game in two years and gives 100% everytime. Why are you guys knocking people without giving them a chance. Or is that the way its done down there.

I am happy with the signing of Wilkes. He always seems to give everything and is well liked at his previous clubs.

Im not sure Cent 100 was knocking Wilkes, more highlighting what professor Cullen had to say about him-taking into account he will be playing in London next year.

Nope. went to leigh when they were promoted, went to wigan to help them get out of a hole, had surgery, went to Widnes, won a GF and then was signed by Wakey.
He has been at Wakey for 2 seasons now and has missed 1 (I think) game. He does the job he is asked to do in either the Second Row or at Prop.
His stats compare favourably with Haggerty and Ward and I believe he will add something to the pack next year.

Like Haggerty, Wilkes's problem is his defence. Ward is, I think, a little better than both.

I'm not sure what Wilkes was at fault for. He went to the correct side, the excessive numbers were already in place before he went to join the line, surely the fault lies with the player who joined the overpacked side of the defensive line.

If we are talking slow from marker, then Wilkes really isn't. As a heavy second-row he is hardly slow, and as a prop-forward he is relatively quick around the ruck area.

I think Wilkes will fit in well down here. Going on his record, he looks as if gives 100%, is fit (i game missed in 2 yrs). so we havent signed anyone injury prone this time.

As for Cullen pointing him out on the prog, im sure he said he was trying hard to get back in the line from the tackle. but like londo06 said Cats had already set up their attack so not his fault i dont think.

He may not be a big star that we would like. but to me if we signing a player that the fans from club hes at right now are sayng they would like to keep him,that hes committed and gives it his all when on the pitch well that willl do for me until hes down here playing for us then can get a good look at him and see what i think then.

I'd be worried if they didn't. He was injured for what 11 weeks this year(iirc?).
