That would be a serious loss, especially as clubb not available? anyone no more?

Red Hall decided he was too good last week and extended his ban

Nothing on the club site about Howell, or for that matter, the squad at all as far as I can see. Last week the squad was posted a day before the match, even though they get announced two days before games. Why does the squad appear on here before the club site? Surely they should be the first to have it rather than other places.

If your on the mailing list you get it today, i'm assuming thats where it came from.

We get our main strike player back and then he's out! When your lucks out....



If Purdo is back I guess it does mean that Elders could move to Centre and Melling will start at full back where he belongs.

Purdo could move to Centre on return from injury, he's obviously not going to be controlling the ball, or tackling much if he will play, he had a serious injury to his hand, so he won't want to carry it much, surely?
Just a thought.

Anyone know why Howell is missing? There was nothing on Rammo's prog on Wed, in fact he was interviewed. Injury or discipline issues. Big blow IMO. Can't see Purdo back either.

No way you can leave Golden out. Purdo centre Golden at 13 and Gale on bench.

I get these teams off the preview on [urlhttp://www.superleague.co.uk/[/url the club have to release a 19 man team at least 48 hours before kick off and this goes straight on the Superleague site. I copy them here if I see them there before other posts appear here.

Expect the club want to leave it late as possible and they want to fulfil their legal obligations before their publicity ones. Reasonable but not very slick, anyone who reads this board will not be surprised.

Late change Robinson out - Lamont Bryan in

"Please note there has been a change to the previously announced 19 man Harlequins squad for Saturday's match against Bradford Bulls.
Chad Robinson has been forced to withdraw from the squad due to a knee injury and will be replaced by Lamont Bryan.

The 21-year-old centre made five appearance for Harlequins last season and played a part in their memorable victory over Leeds Rhinos. This year he has been playing at reserve grade and is considered by Harlequins head coach, Brian McDermott, to be one of the side’s best performers."

When I saw the "Late Change" Headline I thought - great Howell is now fit - sadly not.

Think young Lamont might go straight in as we're light on 3Qs. It'll probably "only" be Beaver Menzies he has to mark.

He had a shocker in his last first grade game, Purdo had to keep telling him what to do.

Often the way with youngsters, little tricks that get them the half yard and the opportunity to do damage in reserve grade really don't come off against seasoned pros. Remember Lamont Bryan looking quite good in previous seasons in the lower level, but when he played for the first team he was just running straight into people. Looked like he suffered against the pace of the opposition and also against their street smarts.

As regards Lamont, you have to be impressed with Brian's confidence in him. It will be a good test to see if he is up to the job. If only we had kept Micky Nanyn.............

Seriously, we the fans, need to be up for it, we can raise the level of noise and inspire the club into the play-offs. The players did the business last week and now we have to reward them with the best backing we can manage. If we don't want it, why should the players go the extra mile.

The Bulls are flaky mentally and if we get on a role we can have an enjoyable day.

Bit of a slap in the face for the guys who were given a squad number this year - Luke May plays centre I beleive. Thought Lamont has played a lot on the wing this year.

Daft suggestion on my part unless he's improved a h*lluva lot this season.


Surprised O'Callaghan isn't in the 19. Is he injured?

It will be great if Purdo and Chad are back, but if Rammo's comments on Radio London are right, I think it's extremely doubtful.

I was looking forward to getting the two points today but the task is looking a lot tougher now.

Still, the sun is shining and all will be well (unless the beer runs out....)

I was never a Lamont fan myself and fully expected for him to be released.
However, when i've watched the reserves recently he seems to have bulked up a lot and has performed well. maybe someone who watches them a lot can add more to this.

With Catalans winning at Salford this Bradford game has really become a must win game for us. The games are running out and a win brings us level with Wakey and Cas in particular with us having a better points difference. Its a small point but if the more teams we are level or better than from this weekend the more likely we are to make the playoffs if only because Wakey and Cas will have to better our performances as well then.
It could be the game against Cas will decide it

I only caught the final minutes of last week's reserve game, but I'm sure he was wearing the number 13 shirt.
