I'd like to see it the Sunday after the cup final - could get a good few RL fans in town for the final coming to see the game.

Or how about Quins and Skolars get their heads together and play both their games against Bradford and Keighley respectivly as a double header at the Stoop on the Friday night before the Cup final. As you say plenty RL fans in town so why not make it a good weekend.

I like the idea, but fitting in two games on a working day would be a problem. What time would they kick off? 6.30 & 8.30? As it’s a Bank Holiday perhaps the Sunday could be considered, with everyone still having plenty of time to get back home before work on the Tuesday.

Frankly though, I suspect everyone concerned will want the game played earlier than that, if not on the 5th round weekend next month then on the 6th round weekend three weeks later.

Definatly one that should be considered though, as many fans travel down on the friday, its not impossible. 6pm & 8pm would be ideal. Skolars idea from the last 3 years has been good, and they get decent crowds, though not the 2500 they hope for. Only problem with their ground, your only restricted to one side and poor flood lights.

It is a cracking opportunity to try and fill the Stoop........but alas, I don't think it will happen.

Agreed. Any proper rugby league fan would not have a problem with this.

I can't see many bothering coming to the match the day after Wembley, people will be tired and travelling back up North. They wouldn't want to come all the way out of London, with bags etc, then travel back home. On the Friday before perhaps.

I honestly don't think many fans would be bothered to attend a QRL game on the friday before the final, beyond a few diehards or some staying in the local area.

No me neither. But if were desperate to try and get some, I would say Friday may attract a handful more.

But anyway, the date is obviously going to be that spare weekend, which is fine.

Obviously? Why? There will be quite a few spare weekends before then as the next few rounds of the CC are played out. I think both sides will want the game out of the way asap.
