Any ideas where this non London Stadium is? Don't expect to see a big following for Wire if it is moved to a Friday this would cause chaos.

The London double header dates will have been known about for some time just like the Womens RU world Cup
final I would suspect. It makes you wonder why this whole issue was not addressed a while back,whilst appreciating that
Sky may put a spanner in the works.
Or perhaps I am missing something here. ?

I spoke to someone from security who works on the gates at quins and hes been told that the game is Friday night. Don't know why the club have not announced it yet...

Am I right in saying that SKY have yet to announce their games for that weekend?
I am sure they are doing a double header on the Saturday and the only significant interest is either who will finish 2nd or who will take 8th spot. I can see sky wanting our game and the saints game for their double header. where would this leave us?
Presumably playing somewhere else!!
we booked hotels for the Saturday months ago, so we've already been messed about with the fixture change. This sort of thing is affecting fans everwhere in our sport and costs money. IMO sky should only show local derby games on a Friday night and leave the big journey games for Saturdays.

Its been moved to the Fri due to a clash with an event at the bigger ground across the road not because of Sky-The Stoop is also booked on the Sun leaving only Fri

Our ground isn't available on the Saturday so Sky will just have to pick another game instead. There must be occasions when Sky have to accept they can't move Wigan/Hull/Huddersfield games etc. because of the ground being unavaialble due to other events. I can't recall any of those clubs having to find an alternative venue to satisfy Sky.
I can empathise regarding the hotel bookings, but unfortunately that's a risk you take at this time of the season. (Or if you're playing Crusaders, at any time of the season.)
Fortunately our game at Castleford on Sunday week hasn't been moved by Sky otherwise I'd have been stuffed. |
