Still an increase of £24 though.

I understand that but the majority are London Broncos fans first and foremost but I just find it hard to see how people can continue to support the club, no matter how devoted they are to supporting the club.

Personally, I think the fans of London Broncos, no matter how small in numbers they may be, deserve better and should demand better treatment. Some must be a glutton for punishment and that's not a dig, I would find it hard to motivate myself to go if I were one.



I'm not a Broncos fan, never have been. I'm a fan of a northern club through family and London are my closest Super League side so I've looked out for them. I have looked at the fixtures and I think I might go to two games this season, I go to Skolars more because it's closer to home and I've found that the games there that I've seen in the last few years have been more competitive and entertaining than the one sided games I've travelled four hours (there and back) to see at Twickenham. Crowds are poor at Broncos because they're allowed to be, there's no marketing and rarely a product on the pitch worth seeing.

Why the bellyaching then?

Because I think Super League, London Skolars, Hemel Stags and the game in London and the South East needs a strong London Super League presence.

Having played the game in the South East, I have seen the work done by the likes of Jones & the other coaches and seen how much it means to the players and how important it is for those areas and those kids.

My question I asked earlier today wasn't a dig nor a bellyache, it was more of an enquiry. I'm interested to see why people are standing by the owners and club, not to cause any arguments or digs at people.

It's what some folk do. There are plenty of proper fans who have just had an absolute gutful of the club and cannot bear the idea of watching a completely uncompetitive team being repeatedly hammered while being held in complete contempt by those who run the club. The club can hardly expect to receive support in those circumstances.

IF many northern clubs where as negative as some here, rugby league would have died years ago!

I think lots of RL 'fans' in the S.E. like to find reasons to justify the fact they can't be bothered to get off their sofa and go and support the local SL team.

You can kid yourself all you like that Hemel, Oxford or Skolars are 'doing it the right way'. But I can't see any of them being a top flight club in the next 20 years.

Broncos are important, but if you prefer semi-pro RL or watching SL on the sofa that's fair enough. But don't kid yourself that there's a justification for it on the basis that the club's not very good. You're part of the problem.

Sadly not. They are separate memberships, so a hefty £44 spond will be leaving my bank account from next month. I had some ideas about how each club could get fans to the other's games as part of a deal. Will also mention this next time.

If anyone is part of the problem it is those who clap the team off after yet another tonking and will accept any old garbage put on the paddock because one is not a supporter otherwise.

Hmmm. I think point being made is semi pro is fine but they are not going to suddenly replace a SL team and form the pinnacle in the South.

Actually this was the question that I responded to, some of us are seriously thinking about attending this year because we have supported London Broncos/Quins etc for a number of years, some from the very beginning and still want to support em, what it boils down to is 17 blokes every week for the season going out on the paddock
