| Am with you bosty, if he got offered a job with a big club why would he turn it down? It would be stupid of him if he chose to turn it down should an offer come up.
I would be gob smacked if he went to wire though, I am more with the other suggestion that Catalan might have tempted him.
Funny old thing I agree with WQ as well, I like the bloke (hendo not WQ) but what actually has he achieved? As a club so far we have achieved nothing apart from what was expected! Finish second to Hull KR, and unless we do summat pretty special in our next 3 games we will miss out on the MP game which in my mind is actually an under achievement this season.
So what actually has he done that makes him stand out.

Throw in knocked out of the cup at the first attempt by a champ 1 team, beaten 3 times by HKR, finished behind the only decent full time team by a fair margin, unconvincing at home against Fev twice, beaten by Fax away.... Nothing special at all.

| Calm down WQ calm down let's not kick the fella too much while we have him down.
Agreed though losing to to north Mexicans was annoying.
The fev thing is more a testament to the qualities of the fev coach (coaches) I feel.
I think one indication is how the players perform on Sunday, if we play the way we did on sat we should win by a wide margin, can the coach make sure the players come out with the right attitude!

| With Andrew what a Super League Chairman would be looking at is his potential. He has shown that his teams, play a good brand of rugby. They are well disciplined and he gets a lot out of them. He is not afraid to make difficult decisions such has dropping star players who are not performing. He handles himself well with the media.
Over the last couple of seasons his teams have improved and I am sure he is on the radar of some chairman.
Okay he has not won anything, but it is still early days. Given the bigger budget of he SL clubs I think he would do well.
Anyway, time will tell.

| Well disciplined???? You watch a different team to me. Invariably even when we win we are the wrong side of the penalty count, how that makes then disciplined am not sure! The rest I can't disagree with

| So Wires have sacked Smith and for some of you who rate Andrew so highly will be sleeping uncomfortably in your bed.
Moran and or his rep are heading to Australia head hunting. I'm assuming they will fly from Heathrow so they can nip into Ealing to speak with Andrew

| Wire wont risk Hendo, they will go with a much more proven manager. Hendo needs to get us promoted really before looking at a gig like Wire. We have 2 games coming up vs Widnes and Leigh.. He needs to win at least one of those games for us to have not gone backwards from last season, and I think he needs to get London to come top of the championship next year to be in consideration for a larger SL club.
MPG was the min requirement this year, and it looks like we will miss out owing to dropping silly points vs Cats, Fev and Warrington.... Hopefully we will sneak in, but I have feeling Widnes will want to make sure of third next week, so I dont see us getting anything next week. We will hopefully beat Leigh, but only 5 points will leave us 6th, and in the same place as last year

| Dropping silly points against Catalan and Warrington ?
That could also be written as coming up just short against the two Super League teams. The only dropped point was that against Fev.

Depends on how you look at the game, if Sammut had kicked the penalty into touch 5 mins before the end of the first half, Warrington would not have scored just before 1/2 time and gained both 6 points plus all the momentum going into half time. Therefore out inabilty to perform a simple rugby league ability like kicking a ball into touch when its a penalty cost us the points. That is my view is dropped points, as warrington did not beat us, we beat ourselves.

| Crashmon, you are right. We all have our opinions on that call made by the TJ, reality is it was a penalty, a free kick into touch, the poor execution forced a call by the TJ that should never have been needed.
We lose games more than the other team winning them. How many times have we kicked out on the full from a re start? It's criminal! The not taking kick at goal for penalties or attempting drop goals worry me less, it's the no pressure stuff we get wrong that hurts.

I suspect you're right. Oddly, Warrington find themselves in the same situation as they did when Smith was appointed, in that they have a bunch of players who are underperforming. I would assume they would look to do the same as when appointing Smith, a coach with a track record of coaching top quality players and getting the best out of them.

| Following Wigans failure to make the semi finals of The Super League 8s. Changes are said to be planned at the club. Shaun Wane is thought to be keeping his job, but from what I understand, John Winder may well be forced to leave. This would leave an opening for an Assistant Coach with the potential of taking the first team coaches job in the future.
Would Hendo be up for it? I think he would find it hard to turn down if offered. It might be a sensible move for The Pies. However there is no love lost between Ian Lenegan and David Hughes, which would complicate things.
We shall just have to see how things pan out with our award winning coach..

| Wigan need specialist coaches such as an attack coach like Deacon and Harris not a general coach. Wane sorts defence, aggression out but they seem to struggle with attacking shape.

It's as if Clubb, LMS, McMeeken, Caton Brown, Sarginson, Krasniqui, and many many more never really happened. Jonsey ran a great youth system for many years long before the current management team were in town.

So much wrong with that article it's hard to know where to start?
But here goes
Quote I think London has had its knockers in the past [uand rightly so[/u'"
WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F&&K? London RL is just fine buddy.....talk to the guy who pays your wages if you want to know where the problems start and end!
Quote “We’re spreading the gospel down here. We’re giving kids the opportunity to be exposed to Rugby League.'"
Just checked my wardrobe.....12...that's a dozen Broncos shirts in my wardrobe, 8 in my wife's and I believe my daughter still has about 6....we've been spreading the gospel? Have we F&&K! We are preaching to the converted and us converts aren't getting any younger.......we've had good youth teams and set ups for a decade or more....stop jumping in the good foundations laid by Jones and claiming it as a + in your ledger.
Quote but I’d like to think for the first time we will put our roots in London and Ealing and go from there.”'"
Not a chance that London Broncos v Wigan Warriors in SL 2019 or later will be played at the Wedding Venue.......not a chance in hell. My flat around the corner in Hanwell recently had a neighbour request to put up a conservatory and he received 33 objections......there are only 20 flats in the Block FFS......not a chance in hell we'd get even temporary stands put up at the venue.
Quote But what I do know and trust is that we are putting the right system and structures in place'"
Systems that will fold like a cardboard box once old money bags leaves......600 fans paying 10k a game isn't enough to float the ETF boat and as soon as we're "ownerless' we're gone.....a wedding will generate more revenue than we do!

| GF I fully agree with your sentiments. The only explanation I could come up with is that we will be based at Ealing but play SL at a decent ground. i.e. rent it for 14 games.
I'm not even sure Ealing is set up to be a commercial operation either. Im not talking about events on non match days as thats for the union club, more offices for the marketing teams etc

| I find it quite interesting that we are knocking an article that says good things about the club, I don't see anywhere in it where he knocks what has happened in the past.
Maybe the mistake was not saying we are continuing to spread the gospel in the junior set up.
As for setting roots, to succeed it's got to be done sometime.
As for systems in place folding, what's the other option do nothing at all?
News is about now not the past.

| Do wigan train at the DW, Hudds the ground they play at? Its just a nothing story. The reality is that people are unwilling to accept or talk about the massive fall we've had and have set the bar so low anything is seen as positive.
Just tell me whats so good about the club and compared to what. Don't use your benchmark as Barnet.

Sorry for the earlier profanities......bad day and all that!
The Article in itself isn't a bad thing, but I've just watch a video of LMS talking about their game v Castleford and it's so refreshing to hear a cockney accent talking about making the GF and winning things. Henderson has achieved no more or less this year than last year and we are still light in the pack for next year when the competition will be stronger. The pathway for kids has been there for over a decade now and we are starting to see the results but we're still reliant on outsiders coming down to play for us....and Ealing is a great little venue, but we won't be playing SL games there if we do go up......IIRC we had 2 port-a-cabins as offices at Quins when we were first there....Ealing as a base is great but we need access to a 7/10k stadium and more importantly, we need a plan on how to fill it!

| Had we done the unlikely next year the plan was to stay at Ealing but play our home games elsewhere. As for the future, we all know we cannot play super league at trailfinders as it stands. Trailfinders also cannot get promoted in the RU world. Trailfinders want promotion, they have to and will do something with that venue, what am not sure, just things I hear so yep just rumours.
WQ is right this year we are a step back from last year, so from a coaching point of view actually we have achieved nothing more than we expected to.
Yes we need investment, but where will that come from? DH at the moment is what we have, he was walking a few years back, no one rushed in to take over, so back to call me dog and his predictions. He may be right next year we could end up part time, sorry to say if we are fan owned that's a certainty.
What's the answer, where is the investment? Who knows
