DH is the money. His words to the fan base are written for him. He will have no idea what’s going on as he will be told what he needs to know and nothing more!

It’s got to be a positive but, as I’ve said before, with so many working at home the reach of the paper will be significantly less which is a shame.
Personally if we can get back to something like 5/600 paying home fans supplemented by away fans that would be a positive for next season. Last season it was embarrassing- only Skolars and WWR had lower crowds. Sadly C19 looks like it may impact on attendances again.

A lot of regular faces were missing from the crowd last season,
Covid was without doubt responsible for some, but that cannot be the only reason.

The over 100% Hike in ST prices, plus having no idea where the games would be played, plus weakest squad in living memory did far more for attendances than covid IMHO.
And the only way you will get to grow attendances is by the quality of the squad and results on the pitch. You might get a boost for the first few games, but if the team is losing more than winning, those initial fans will drift away, especially when the 2022 football season starts in August, and the team either has nothing to play for, or is in a relegation battle

Brentford was the only ground where we left with more fans than we arrived and I'll repeat it again, we didn't fill Trailfinders in our fluked SL season, so the move to Wimbledon is more about covering the failings of the management rather than another new dawn.
As for chip wrapped advertising.....it's too early for such ATL marketing. Brand awareness is best left to the Vodafone's of the world, we need to be knocking on doors locally and reaching out to lapsed fans.....it's far cheaper and 500% more impactful.A half page in the ES is £35,000 book price......[urlhttps://www.eveningstandardcommercial.com/uploads/files/ESI_Ratecard_and-file_spec_EveningStandard310120.pdf[/url....35k would pay for a whole lot of targeted direct marketing over a period of time, whilst the ES advert is forgotten as soon as you turn the page.

'Fluked' is very harsh on the players and coaching staff that got us promoted - and for one more point would have kept us in SL.

Sorry Jaybs I avoid the Standard like the plague- but I must say the Wednesday edition , with the property section, is very absorbent and excellent for lining the cat's litter tray.

| Apparently James has tweeted a SWTrains campaign is starting soon.
Credit to the club for finally marketing, I just hope they have chosen the right method given how many now work from home, even before the recent work from home order.

| Depends how they do it. Most people just rush in/out of Wimbledon, Earlsfield & Haydon Road. Not sure Quins got much payback from advertising at Clapham Junction or Wimbledon. If its on trains, I'd say pointless.

| Need flowers on roundabouts...eh wirequinn?
Hard work being dodged for expensive brand marketing.....the half page in the standard needs 1,750 fans paying 20 quid each.....
Asking the LBSA to door drop 10,000 homes would have cost 1% of that and delivered 100% more return.....but you employ amateurs, this is what you get

| Wonder if the club spike to Wigan about the results they obtained when they advertised their fixture at The Den all over London Bridge and on trains?
Have to say my experience that day was most people were southern RL diehards or had travelled down from the M62 region. Hopefully there were lots of new southern fans sitting somewhere away from me in the ground...

What ever Wigan did, they drew between 4k & 8k depending on who you believe. But that was 2015 so if there were southern fans there, they don't seem to have found their way to Broncos or Skolars in the intervening 6 years.
Maybe Broncos would be better off using bus shelters to advertise where you have more of a captive audience.

If the club could put in as much effort in ticket sales and fan retention/engagement as they (or rather one individual) do on merchandise sales on all platforms, they could break 4 figures

The best way to sell more merch is to have more fans.

| Interesting to see the club apparently block a long standing fan on twitter for suggesting the kit looks like Wire but then post a picture of it on a Wire Twitter thread asking to see the last picture you took whilst watching them.
Will the club now block themselves?

| I wouldn't mind if the club wanted a blue & yellow 2nd strip, which of course they could still wear at home on occasion if they so wished. Unless I've missed it, what is the supposedly 3rd strip or is it another secret?

The Warrington lookalike/Wimbledon kit should have been reserved for a special event like the quartered shirt which featured at the Blackpool Summer Bash weekends.
