'twas a bit tongue in cheek, but Gower's CC run has certainly come to an end.

Is Soward that good that he can revitalise London single handed? Is he better than Gower?
Can he make the laziest least aggressive pack anywhere in rugby start going forward?
As for Bishay, I wish him well, but you've only got to look at his size compared to youngsters like George Williams at Wigan to start worrying.

Soward on form is brilliant. Rated the fastest man in NRL at one stage. Holds record at St George of most points in a season. He is good enough, but will he catch the London disease?

well we lost an influential halfback, so that seemed obvious to replace. Soward was clearly persona non grata with St George so it was a case of spotting an opportunity. Presumably if a centre was available mid-season, we would have gone for one.

In any case, we can't possibly make the play-offs and the only 2 teams we can beat in the Cup won't be in semis if we are. Pissing away £££ that ought to have been re-invested in the business.

Maybe he'll be tempted to stay by the delights of the capital. And all the massive new investment we'll be making into the playing staff, enabling us to buy off Penrith. And of our glowing prospects for the next few seasons. And of the outstanding facilities at our new home. And ... (OK, now I'm struggling).
