Heard a rumour a little while ago that we'd be playing in a black and silver kit, but have heard nothing since to confirm it.

I'd like to think there will be a few people who enjoy top level sport, rather than our calling our sport their own attending, and anything that we can do to make them aware that London has a team, effectively the first (competitive) team since the London Broncos left the building and I think this could be a good angle to look at marketing the team on. Absolute minimum though is a page in the matchday programme.

We would get away with it on bonfire night too

In fairness we do always get at least a page in the CC final programme and have done at other international test matches played in London.

As an American living in London the only way Quins will attract aussies and NZers down en masse is if the team was any good.
They are over here to enjoy London and what it has to offer, they can get top-flight soccer played by some of the biggest names in the world and we expect them to watch a second rate team in a second rate league.
Those who end up living here longer, that's another matter. But the transients aren't here to watch David Howell, Tony Clubb or Luke Gale play when they can watch celebrities at Arsenal or Chelsea.

Those who attend the big internationals are either northerners, the aussie new zealanders, Quins fans or those who go to one or two games a year - and have had their fix with the CC and internationals.

If they like RL they can watch the good stuff on Sky rather than the dross we serve up.

You can do all the publicity in the world but if the product/team is terrible it doesn't make the blindest bit of difference.

A media launch is needed, however, there is something else needed, 'backing'. On here it is pretty appalling that whatever is discussed, planned and/or implemented by the club its shot down by people and disected like a schoolboy disecting a frog.

Whether the club have changed their name 10 times or twice, the fans, the staff and the players need to really get behind the London Broncos.

Harlequins RL were an awful team, who played awful rugby and were unsuccessful as a club on and off the pitch. The London Broncos finished 3rd (iirc) in the opening year of Super League, reached the Challenge Cup Final in '99 and reached the play-offs in one of their final years.

Get behind the people at the club. The signs are encouraging, believe it or not. The club are seeking their own identity, there's a press launch and the 2012 signings look encouraging. Michael Witt was a very useful player at Crusaders, Craig Gower has bags of experience, Antonio Kaufasi has played in 2 NRL finals and played for Australia (once), Shane Rodney and Michael Robertson have just won NRL, Julien Rinaldi was a fans favourite in his spell at the club before, Liam Colbon's played at the big stage for Wigan and Cook and Hickey will add something to the team.

I'm looking ahead to the Broncos second debut in the City against Skolars.

Some of us can see the bigger picture. Certain things need to change at the club to lead to success. We might have a nice squad but it still remains that the club is lacking the fundamental basics in running a professional super league side. I would love to be proved wrong, but I know I won't be. I will keep supporting the club but the way it is ran off the pitch is nothing short of a disgrace.

Can I ask what you feel is wrong and how you'd do it differently. Not looking for an argument.

Season tickets details should have been out by now for starters. The whole name change thing should have been done and dusted for franchise announcement.

The new website would surely be "LondonBroncos.Com" or whatever, surely this is the point of the media launch? Admittedly we all know the name is going to be Broncos but I doubt Harlequins would be happy that the club is putting on a timer. I like the idea though.

Season Tickets. It would have been nice to know how much they will be in 2012 but advertising would be hard. How do you make up leaflets for fans to fill in when the club, technically, still has no name, no team colours, no badge, no kit and may be on the month if you believe whats been written by BBC Sport.

I was hoping for a Big Bang and it looks like we will get a Back to the Future, oh dear. I agree with Gutters, only splashing the cash on imaginative marketing will raise the profile to make the new project viable. A new side is great but if it playing to crowds of 3,000 we won't last three years.

For the 1st time since 06 and the build up to the Saints game have i felt that the time is right for a relaunch. Except this time I think the new regime will get it right. Please!!!

This is what I also Hope for, it is pointless being "negative" until we fully know what the Launch and Marketing Plan is going to be!

Doesnt matter what the team's called next year seats can still be sold.

Is there going to be an event on the 1st or is it just media "stuff"

Its a pity we couldn't have a do with the new top on sale and some London XXX merchandise. I realise its easy for us to sit here and criticise.

Maybe they will have an event with everything on sale at a pre season game. Get one of the bigger teams down, even give Mac a ring and get the "champions" here

Yeah...the Entire London Public are chomping at the bit in anticipation

........I believe that the walkabout in Shebush has sold out of tickets to the media announcement and they were 50 quid each...



Let's see what the English printed press have to say about it on the 2nd of November.......that's the litmus test IMO.

Why should the press give a rats ass about us, putting anything other than a few lines would be a complete waste of time effort and money.
We have about 1500 fans. which puts us about 30th on the list of sporting events in and around the capital

Excitement? I've practically lost the will to live with this ridiculous cloak and dagger operation surrounding our new identity. It seems fairly obvious from all the leaks so far that we'll be London Broncos again. I've also heard we'll be playing in a black & silver kit manufactured by "MKK". (I'm not sure you can have a truly silver rugby kit, so really it'll be black & grey if that's true.)

We've gotta be top 20; 15 or so football clubs, two cricket clubs, a rugby club, and a rugby league club playing out of the same venue.
