Instead of aiming at the several hundred existing fans they should have www.telegraph.co.uk/family/pets/ ... video.html used the fact that they have the backdrop to a reasonably funny video and I'm sure they could have our mascots chasing the players towards the road and the players chasing them back into shot with a London Broncos flash at the end. Would not have cost a heap and it would have been seen by more than a few hundred and would have done more promotion beyond the sports existing followers.

Nothing will change until we put together a competitive team in a ground we can call our own.

Well a ground of our own isn't going to happen any time soon, so the best course of action we as a club can take is marshall our resources better when it comes to getting the club known to the general public. My only hope at this point is that the club are trying to fly under the radar until they can actually get a bit of hype with SL games in the offing. We had a real opportunity and we could carry on with Marlon Brandoesque quotes like "You don't understand! We coulda had class. We coulda been a contender. We could've been somebody, instead of a team of bums, which is what we are." and yeah it could have been something special but it wasn't to be. Make the best of it while we are there and use the number of positives that playing at that venue and in that locale has to offer, whilst evaluating others for yet another move.

No sadly the ground of our own is not going to Happen any time soon, the ideal impact would have been for the name re-branding etc come with a new ground we own or co-own but we know that is not going to be the case, so I agree with you we have to make the most of what we have got, we need Success on the Pitch as well as off and that will bring in new supporters, our new fan base has got to be general to all of London, so they will accept any move when it happens.

At last some more LONDON BRONCO MERCHANDISE this morning nothing knocks me out, but it is a start, the illustrations are not too good, hope they will soon be larger and on players models, we need to marketing our players, yes Home Grown but such as Michael Whitt who had some magazine coverage at the end of the season about his fitness and looks! as I say I hope this is only the Start!

What does your own ground matter?

Wigan and Hull dont have there own and get big crowds.

Its about the team and the advertising that supports that nothing to do with the ground and who owns it

Many Wigan and Hull Rugby League Fans also support & identify their Local football team, perhaps more so when at home, not a lot of our fans identify with Quins RU!

Quins RL were so poor over last copule of seasons, that I was converted to RU. Watching London Welsh has been more entertaining than the RL. It is also good to see Quins RU doing well.

Not that many Wigan fans support their local football team.

Home games became a chore

I accept that not all Wigan Warrior supporters are not Latics season ticket holders, but many Warriors Fans I know do turn up when the big matches and cup games come around! I still stand by that more Wigan & Hull fans will take an interest in their local football team than the majority of fans we currently have & are hoping to attract would ever take in Quins RU.

Have no idea on either front, but I would expect it to kick in with about 2 weeks to go with regard to the St Helens game, but with a lot of work being done "behind the scenes" that should have started in September........

My concern is surrounding the lack of communication to the fans....the foundation stone that any successful campaign off the pitch needs to be built on.

They are items of clothing featuring the club badge and in the clubs colours...........what did you expect? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain..............

Maybe something with a hint of style perhaps, crazy idea I know. Them 'designs' are a joke and you know it but for some reason are so keen to praise anything and everything the club does.

I'm generally positive and give the club the benefit of the doubt but it's getting too far now, how long has the website been under construction for!?! And speaking of the website where is there only one or two stories on there a week, I know it's in the off season but look at other clubs; they manage to put stories up on a far more regular basis.

Couple of points here that need addressing from the first part of your post.
First up, I am not praising anything the club have or have not done. For 10 years I have openly lambasted the club and I will continue to do so if I feel they are failing to get it right. What I have said since the announcement is that I am willing to give them time......rather than whine about every little hiccup that occurs. I agree that the website is farcical, but I am not defending anyone blindly and neither am I praising them.
Next up, the Joke designs? How is a hoodie, fleece or a rain jacket in the clubs colours, predominantly the reverse colours, black with blue piping a joke design? I own various items of London Broncos stuff pre-2006 and these include a plain blue poloshirt with the club badge on it, as well as a white one. I never purchased a hoodie as I am not sure they used to have them, but I did have a rain coat that was predominantly blue, with piping and the club badge.....so the polo 2012 and rain jacket 2012 are both exactly what was available in 2005.....just in different colours.
That said, I am not praising the designs....but I am not slagging them off either. Please do re-read my comments about delivery to New Zealand and explain how that is praise for the club.

Website = farcical...I have said so from day 1.
Comms = farcical but no different than before.
Merchandise = average but not a joke and I agree with no shirts being available until a sponsor is secured.
Club colours= OK IMO....black shirts will probably out-sell the blue ones
ST/unallocated seats = possible mistake but remains to be seen.
Squad = spot on...best pre-season line-up I can recall.
Future = 3 more years.
Ground = until we can afford our own, what's wrong with the stoop?

Sorry but I'm a little confused by this thread

i hardly ever post here but always read.

Anyway I'm coming from point of view that the name change is a total waste of time! But the club bashing that going on here is a bit ridiculous! Yes the club should be getting the basics right but actually as far as the off season is concerned the club is playing a blinder!

We have an expression at work you can roll a turd in glitter but its still a turd! And the club are dealing with this basic problem, the team has been far to weak for the last couple years! People are not going to turn up to watch the team get dick week in week out! So the crowds will hopefully improve as the better team wins more often at home.

A big push of brand awareness IMO should start mid January when we have a product to sell!
