Was looking for a free trial of Premier Sports but settled for the BBC Cumbria commentary in the end. A vocal home fan near the commentary booth is adding to the atmosphere.

In all fairness he’s a L1 player as are a minimum of 7 of our 17. Everybody knew it, the results underline it and yet we persevered with the policy - most recent signing the 39 year old Skolar, Thurman (let’s ignore the Aussie we trumpeted as a new signing as we didn’t bother to play him).

It;s not just you. My partner just said, how are Workington bottom: they look really good? There's a reason for that, I replied.

People have done a 10 hour round trip,to see this. It’s not on. Not least because we called it as soon as the manager and the team were recruited and we know nothing. Imagine what Parata thinks. Imagine what all these prospective candidates for coach think. Fxxx this.

Some questions for the board to consider re on field performance:
Are any of our Aussie imports any good?
How many of the L1 players we signed are of Championship standard?
Was recruiting a bottom end L1 coach smart and then sacking him leaving no replacement before 2 must win games smart?
Was our retention policy 21/22 smart or inept?
Is training in a bar optimal?
Was relying on 2 young inexperienced players to fill key positions smart?
Why did we leave it until now to get someone goal kicking who actually knows what they are doing?
Is it worth continuing?

Just hard to fathom why you would dispense with your coach no matter how good or bad & not have a replacement ready to step in when 2 of the next 3 games were must win fixtures. Perhaps Mustard wasn't prepared to stay on, but it was a strange point in the season to recognise you needed a full time coach.

Yes it has to be that he was sick of it. We probably should have pulled the plug earlier but that would have been an admission that our 2022 recruitment was inept.
