| Quote ="orangeman". In terms of an open goal to promote ourselves to Kids, our goal-posts will be up on Friday the 13th, so have them at one end of the park, beat the keeper at the other. Run a conversion comp with prizes, get 100 T-shirts, 100 Tote bags, 100 APX SOOOOOPER Water Bottles and other assorted stuff as well as handfuls of tickets for the Sheffield game and a prize draw for a Box at that game.....Buck and Dusty can wander about. I'd also heavily push the RLWC.....maybe get the RFL to help out???
I think we have to be realistic. An actual presence at the event would be progress. Perhaps one or two of our players could be persuaded to attend along with a member of staff and hand out flyers for upcoming games and perhaps badges, stickers, mini flags or some such of the usual fare. If there’s a screen with AFC action perhaps they would agree to show short highlights/taster of rugby league once an hour or some such. May have to show action from a previous year of course. Anything really just to keep momentum going in a modest way.

| I should say in the interests of fairness that the water bottles are of a good quality. It was a decent gesture to give them to kids. I am surprised that they and other merchandise I saw in the club shop weren’t available to buy online previously. Perhaps a production delay or something out of their control. But generally if you have items for sale best to put them on sale.

Monkey doesn't own it......it's owned by All Sports Global Ltd which has 1 director Abdul Qayyum Akram and is registered at 2nd Floor, 158 Grattan Road, Bradford, England, BD1 2HS.....the same registered address for APX.
The club has.many issues to deal with, but I'd hope that APX who also supply kit to the Broncos CEO's hockey side are scratched next year......he really hasn't achieved much whilst double dipping into the Hughes kitty.

| My experience is that the merch has been decent it’s other areas where there have been issues from what I can see.
Who knows what the club will do for merch next season or if we’ll be around next season but I wouldn’t say changing suppliers was a must. In any event, I’m sure there will be a review of all aspects if we survive this season from social media to marketing, player recruitment and retention to the website. Possibly a relaunch 2.0.

In any case, a review at the end of the season would be too late and only serve to placate the egos of those who have failed during the season. Any serious business in this situation would be reviewing after each and every game to see what needs to be improved and prioritising actions.

Regardless......I've a wardrobe full of broncos shirts but only one (my son's) that is APX.....he was toxic and he needs to be flushed from the clubs history. There are hundreds of firms who can do this for the club.....it takes minutes to find them.

Loubser will be polishing his CV already and Hughes will be left with nobody to run his vanity project.
The time to plan for 2023 is now if you want any decent players.....but firstly get a decent coach and have a plan for next year be that in L1 or the championship.
As for off the park.....Hughes blames the fans for not coming.....his words in November highlight his marketing policy...."if they watch one game they'll be hooked".....it's flawed, but it's not his fault, it's the fans for not coming

| The time to plan is definitely now. One issue of course is our incompetence has left us uncertain what division we’ll be in. That will be a major factor in any planning. If I was them and if they have a kitchen sink I would throw it at recruitment now to get us over the line early enough in the season to know where we stand for 2023. But as I’ve said before it’s easy for me to spend other people’s money.

Common sense would suggest this the case but Hughes was happy to assemble a L1 squad for the Championship this season.

| Quote ="jbuzza"What makes you think Hughes is someone who is suddenly willing to learn from his mistakes ?.'"
A memory just popped up on FB from 2009.......we'd just spanked Wire 60-8 with the infamous "shirt burning" incident.
In 2009 we averaged 3,500, with 2 gates over 4,200, we finished 11th of 14, our then CEO is now CEO of the Commonwealth Games, we had 6,000+ for the pre-season Manly game marketed by the RFL on our behalf and we took full coaches of away fans to Wales and Wakefield
We now have an accountant playing CEO with zero back office staff, a small community team and a coaching and fitness team of 3, we're averaging 1,500 and have little chance of maintaining this number in the 10 remaining home games, there is a reliance on free community attendees, AFC fans and now discounted tickets including to the Corporate Lounge.....Social media has seen fans banned for questioning decisions that have now been seen justifiably questioned and a toxic staff member has gone scorched earth on the way out the door. Nepotism in terms of the CEO's relationship with that ex-staff member are worth scrutiny IMHO, but won't because Hughes can't be bothered with any administrative tasks. Appeals for volunteers have fallen by the wayside due to the toxicity at the the club and we are hoping that we are better than Workington and Dewsbury.....and the mini-bus to Leigh seems to be a non starter...that's the depths that we have plummeted to.
In short, Hughes has overseen this decline, contributing with bad appointments and inept allocation of funds. In the 2009 hammering of Wire, we had 9 try scorers crossing 10 times with 10 conversions..... that's more of either than we've managed in 6 games so far this season.
Hughes will never admit he's wrong......even if you drew him a diagram of the fall under his ownership.....he'll NEVER concede it's been his doing

My guess is before the end of the season and 5 minutes after they fix the font on the 1st team staff and Men’s first team player tabs so it doesn’t look so absolutely amateurish.

Wow that is spectacularly incompetent.
For those not in the know this on the front page of LB website but when you click on it to read the story the top of the guy’s head is chopped off. I assume no one is, the IT content equivalent, of proof reading what goes on public display. Boy the sooner they get someone in the better.

In the big scheme of things these errors are unimportant but they are so avoidable you do wonder. Mind I’m happy for them to happen if the club are focusing on recruitment and devising a strategy for improving the match day experience and increasing crowds. I think they are just spread too thin, I wonder how their back room numbers match up to other Championship teams.

I think it was commented at the time that Key & Eagle have some incredibly e websites. Clearly no due diligence done on them.

| Quote ="orangeman"3 games before we disappear from London until July.....2 of these are must win.
Bradford: This has a chance to be bigger than the opener against Widnes in terms of attracting fans. The club has 3 and a bit weeks to figure out how to get this from a probable gate of 1,500, to an achievable 2,500. But How?
Unblock all social media users immediately. These fans aren't just 'keyboard warriors' but long time Season Ticket Holders who deserved better. They have also dragged many friends and family to games and if it were me, they should each receive 10 free tickets to this game.
Apple launched the first Ever I-pad on April 3rd 2010. Get on the phone and ask if they'd like to celebrate by giving us 5 I-pads in return for Match Day sponsorship.....we could push their Apple TV offer hard to our base and have the prizes drawn at half time.
[url=https://lovewimbledon.org/whatson/cheerleading-course/GET THIS LOT ENGAGED[/url as well as revive Buck'n'Dusty
Free Kids Entry for every adult ticket bought
Push this to the Bulls NOW
Figure out how to hold a post match interview with the coach in the Pub or at least show it on TV screens downstairs
Book a Band for outside the Pub post game
[url=https://news.merton.gov.uk/about-my-merton-magazine/BUY A FULL PAGE IN THIS[/url offering $10 tickets for locals and free kids for all three of these games in return for their contact details. More expensive than a door drop, but 80,000+ houses hit locally has to be good.
Revisit the schools and amateur clubs we've touched through the community team and get them back.
In short, put on a show......let's not just stick posts in the ground and plead with fans to come along on twitter.
Dewsbury & Newcastle. both these games need a repeat of the above with a May Day theme for the first with Morris Dancers an whatever and maybe something to do with the RAF as its the anniversary of the Royal Air Corp............
Point is, we've ALL seen the trajectory of the crowds. Our first 3 at Griffin park were all near enough the same (4,200), Our first 6 at Stoop II were all pretty alike (3,500) with the exception off a HUGE gate for the St Helens opener, the first 6 were all about 1k at the Hive, then they gave up counting at Trailfinders fo a while....but it's fair to say 1k or lower was the first couple of years before back in SL we averaged 2k over the first 6 games.....but our first 3 here have seen a drop of 40%
Odds are the club will do nothing, citing no money, no staff etc, but this is the reality. Dewsbury and Newcastle are bolted on sub 1k's with Bradford a comfortable 1,500 thanks to away fans. We then vanish for 7 weeks before returning to another sub 1k gate befor a hammering at the hands of Fev that nobody will want to pay to watch....by the time we return we may well already have one foot in League 1.......and that really will be a hard sell!'"
BUMP
18 Days since I posted this and the club have (AFAIK) done nothing to address the marketing of these 3 games. To be clear, other than the trip to Barrow, which we didn't bring anyone to, to update social media, what has the back office staff been doing?
Monkey? During this period he has been employed, because he's self promoted himself and his replica tat on twitter, but nothing else.
Lobster? If you're the CEO of Glaxo SK, then I am sure you have people in place, but this clown is CEO of a 2nd tier Semi-Pro RL side supposedly at the start of a 5 year campaign to achieve SL and self sufficiency, he needs to roll his sleeves up and get busy. 2 adverts for jobs that could and should be done by one person and a message back to me on twitter saying their pleas for volunteers had fallen on deaf ears is about all I can see that he has achieved this season.
The club scored their first point of the season and it took 2 days for this to be mentioned on the club site....Twitter is tumbleweed.....but finally the banner on the club site takes you to buy tickets for the Bradford game after being broken for 17 days but there are still glitches on the ticketek site.....what important "CEOing" has kept Loubser from doing some of these tasks?
I can only imagine how both our new hosts and Mr Hughes are viewing this epic start to our "partnership" on a journey to self sufficiency, but I can categorically say that no matter their public musings, neither can be particularly happy.
So.
Bradford, like ourselves have this weekend off this week and will fancy this match as a chance to get themselves into the play-off spots. Looking at their site and our ticketing, 6 (SIX) people have bought tickets in the south stand and there doesn't appear to be a supporters coach running from what I can gather on social media. We will have not been at home for close to a month and yet the club as done nowt to keep interest going. We only narrowly lost to York and the "vibe" was apparently better, but nothing has been done to tap into that.....emails, Twitter and the club site are all free avenues but nothing has been done to keep fans engaged.
Is the belief that the new social media person ad commercial person will suddenly pull 1,000 fans out of the hat when they start?
