| Don't forget Rosslyn Park, Blackheath and Ealing. They all get a decent attendance. County cricket does not really struggle. The Oval and Lords are always packed for the T20 and a fair few one day games. $ day games I grant you but that is true everywhere.

| Quote ="gutterfax"Sums up the mentality and aptitude of your average RL fan.......I think you'll find that there are a great number of Union clubs in London, including Saracens and Harlequins. The fact that London Irish moved to Reading has more to do with the fact that the ground and clubhouse they own (purchased in 1931 for £1,300 and now worth an estimated £100,000,000 ) wasn't up to scratch or big enough to take decent sized crowds. Wasps have moved purely because they were shipping cash by the bucketload and are now in charge of their own destiny and london Scottish/Richmond will soon be back at the top table having being funded by the sale of scrum.com to ESPN for £millions. London Welsh are a basket case but still manage to attract more fans than we ever could.......
Laziness is the reason London Broncos never attracted decent crowds.......Hughes has dropped cash everywhere except in terms of marketing. Will the penny ever drop? Doubt it.
Here's a heartfelt suggestion. Put me on your ignore list. I know I am repetitive....but not as regular in my comments as the club are in managing to make the same mistakes time after time.
If you or the club want ideas for marketing and promotion, then PM me.....I now charge for my services and unlike the numpties employed by the club over the years, I work on a reward/consequence scenario......I deliver, I get rewards, I don't deliver, I get my contract ripped up.
I'm not starving!

Many marketing companies work via the net don't they now.I know you are in New Zealand but why don't you offer your services on a commission fee if you would be so successful?

So you think I should come up with the ideas and then pay to implement them and only take a fee on a commission basis? I think I might give that one a miss

3,183 average....we can only dream of such numbers.
They are playing 50 miles away from their home and are the easybeats......Gus moved us 12 miles up the road and delivered 1,250 fans.

| Think you'll find London Welsh will be moving back to the smoke once the Lionel Road developement in Brentford is finished.

The article in question was referring to Premiership clubs to be fair to the author.

| Not sure about L Welsh moving back. They seem to be pretty settled at Oxford.

Not at the prices Firoz Kassam charges them. The crowds will go down once people realise they can see Moseley and Doncaster, instead of Sarances and Leicester.
A certain Ian Lenegan is involved with Oxford United too.
London Welsh will come back to Old Deer Park, as long as ODP passes the Minimum Standards Criteria for the RU Championship.
Alternatively, the other rumour I hear is that the Richmond Athletic Ground is to be done up and a share between London Scottish and London Welsh mooted (Scottish have their own Premiership ambitions). Richmond would then move to ODP.
I'm not sure if any update to the Richmond Athletic Ground would satisfy Super League criteria, I've not seen any plans as yet.
I always thought the Lionel Road site was dead in the water?
