Well that's a very thorough assessment. You could do worse than offering your services to DH as a recruitment consultant.
When I last looked, Tony Currie remained proprietor of Currie Tyres (or Tires). I fear he's been out of the game too long.
Out of your list I'd go for Rohan Smith with one of the English coaches with SL experience as assistant, Franny Cummins maybe. But out of DH's finances we might have to do with Cummins on his own.
[size=50Of course, Dan Stains is probably available.

No. What is everyone's fascination with Jon Wells? Is there any position in the club that he apparently isn't qualified for?

| Daniel Anderson looks likely to be available at the end of the NRL season. Great track record. We could do much worse.
Anybody know what DH's coaching budget is? Thought not, but you never know.

I'm glad it's not just me that feels this way. I mean, I liked Wellsy as a player and he comes across very well in his tv punditry role, but some people seem to see him as a kind of rugby version of Stephen Fry who could effortlessly turn his hand to any technically demanding rugby league role from coaching to being a chief executive, even though his ability in these fields has never remotely been tried or tested.

| How's about Dave Clark (I think) from Barrow - did well there?
I went for TC, but should probably have gone for Jim Dymock.

Did great job with team of underdogs last year and he'd bring some good players over like Elima and the Bentleys maybe.

Don't think so.
1. I remember seeing Dennis Betts cuddling Dennis Moran at GP before signing him for Wigan and then trying to use him as an Adrian Lam replacement which he never was and never would be.
2. Betts must be well out of touch with RL now. If he wants to get back in he'll have to start with an assistant job.

Got himself a nice role with Titans u20s at the minute, but would think he is some way off a head coach role here.and believe his son may be on the Titans playing staff now.
Tony Currie was involved with the Aboriginal side recently, dont think he actively coaches anyone as he has a business interests in the Brissie area.
Jimmy Dymock for me,but cant see him leaving current post.

| I think Daryl Powell would do a great job in London. GB international, done a great job at Fev and wants to go to Super League.

Has high end experience in coaching with Leeds and brought through a number of established Super League stars of the Rhinos over recent time. He talks a good game, he took Featherstone from 6th or 8th to 1st in one season. He has been Head Coach of Leeds Tykes and has 33 caps for Great Britain.
If we can get him down here, he is an Englishman we should consider putting our money on, or rather Hughes' money into.
