4.95% — I'm a dual season ticket holder so it's great for me
19.80% — It'll be a good chance to watch some RL
47.52% — Not fussed, I'll only watch the RU game though
3.96% — Don't like the idea, it takes the focus off the important RU game
8.91% — Don't like the idea the disinterested RL fans could cause a problem
14.85% — Hate the idea - we shouldn't have a RL team
BroncOnion wrote - So that's potentially about 2000 interested speccies? Seems a good starting point.
I don`t think we should be too down hearted about the above pole on the Quinssa web site, as the most vocal `anti RL` posters on there are no different to the `anti Union` posters on here and not representative of the majority of Union fans. We just have to accept that many prefer the Union code (in the same way as we might prefer League), so it will take time to get them interested in RL......a bit of success on the pitch would also help this cause.
Taking the pole at face value, it only offered 2 positive RL choices, with 4 in the negative camp...so it was never going to be a fair assessment, but we should not assume that the 4.95% of dual season ticket holders were existing RL fans that have become Union converts, it may well be Union fans that have taken to RL. Add that to the 19.8% who intend to stick around for the RL game and that is approximately 25% of the normal RU gate (which I think is around 12k?). If we put in a decent performance on the day we might get some repeat custom from the 19.8%.......ok it`s only a trickle of new fans, but I like to think that the 4.95% of dual season ticket holders shows some progress.

| So about 25% of the ru fans polled said they may be interested in watching the RL game, certainly hope we have some of the squad back for this otherwise it will be a spanking and we will only lose any chance of the 19.8% that have shown an interest in watching RL
Did think the poll was a bit unbalanced tho
Do think the 2hr gap between games will put off a lot of RU folk staying, and me trying to get my other half to the ground 10 mins before a normal kick off is hard enough so chances of getting down 4 hrs before to watch the Kick and clap would be nie on impossible, thats besides the fact that i have no interest in RU at all.
However! its a step forward in marketing so good on the club for that, i do agree that there should be some other sort of entertainment going on in the gap between the matches, Grand National shown on big screen possibly??? obviously Sky and beeb links a pos prob there
Schools game played on the main pitch? mini 9's ????

| Not sure where everyone gets this 2 hour gap from. Union starts at 2.00 nominally 80 minutes plus 10(?) for half time but they usually have a hell of a lot of injury time/time added on so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't finished nearer 4 than 3.30. Grand National at 4.15 finishing by 4.35 less than an hour till kick off. Simples.

| So who is sorting out the nightmare of seating? I want to watch RL from 'MY' seat, don't mind where I watch RU (but I will be watching it!) so will the RU season ticket holder vacate 'my' seat after their game?
Good idea though if slightly confusing.....

Season ticket holders will be issued a new seat for the other game. This applies for both codes.

'" you could generate some great publicity, especially if coupled with the social media sites. Make it in fancy dress or club colours to involve the away support of both teams as well.
Two games of both codes
Grand National
England vs USA
World record musical chairs attempt

This would mean the event lasting for approximately 2 months, which would probably also qualify for the Guinness Book of Records.

ABSOLUTELY CRACKING IDEA!
I doubt the club will look at it, but I reckon it would fire up some publicity and that can't be bad!!!!!
If it works, we could go for the world record for pass the parcel at the last game of the season...except it could be 'pass the buck" (no pun intended) when we end up with a sub 3k average

Wrong! Though I agree that there's no positive in this.

| I don't know if your club have tried or thought of trying it before but couldn't a cross code match between the two Quins clubs be a way to encourage fans of either one to see the other? Play the first half under RL rules (as it cuts up the pitch less) and the second half under RU rules. Union fans that don't want to take up seats for things like this double header may be more inclined if they think they can see their club beat a RL club. The RU club would probably have more cash and means to promote it too. I know finding a date to play it may be a problem but there are options such as replacing one of your preseason games with it, playing it when England play France and SL has a break or on the eve of the Challenge Cup Final (assuming Quins aren't playing in that of course). Would such a thing be worth trying?
