I hate to admit this but i agree with listy ( this is worrying as it is the 2nd time in as many weeks )



I don't think last years performance came close to our expectations.



I seem to recall him going missing in a lot of games

He is a great support player but thats it. If you have good creative players who run at defenses and pass/kick well he will get you tries. His defense is poor and with Gale and Orr already in the defensive line thats a lot of 'slight' players to cover - and thats without considering our wingers?

Dorn has good footwork and can certainly run at defences and cause them trouble. His passing is pretty decent as well. I can't believe people are basing their opinions only on last season (where no one played well and Dorn missed large parts through injury and was probably rushed back), rather than the other seasons where he has been one of our top performers week in week out.

So we should be relying on form from 2006 to make our judgements? He is past it, simple as that.

I'm not going to accept this yet, I'm prepared to wait and see as I have some confidence he will recapture his good form again.

Have to admit that that's my memory too. I seem to see him running down the left hand side and putting in little kicks which either went straight to the opposition or straight out.



But then I looked at the 2009 stats and he is 6th in the whole league in try assists (Danny Orr top!), so maybe the memory is going with age or there's something about remembering bad plays more easily.



Come on Dorny - prove the stats right and the memory wrong.



(Still don't know where he will play though, and hope it's not at the expense of Gale).

Not entirely true. Randall used to put in plenty of effective kicks from dummy half (including a couple of 40-20s) when he played at hooker and that's a rare skill. But as a kicker in general play he's not good.



I would guess that Mac switched him with Orr to cover for our lack of a stand-off, but now that Gale is back and getting up to speed, I think that Orr and Randall should go back to their original positions.

Dorn's grubber kicks are better than Gales. Gale has trouble actually getting them through the gaps of the defensive line players which led to trouble for us against Wakey when the ball bounced back on us. Do we need a specialist kicker down here to train him?

Just watched the highlights of the wigan game (again) on the SL site.......Luke Dorn was outstanding.

I agree with most that he isn't a half.......but we would seem to have found our full back for the rest of the season. Have yet to see his try today as we are getting delayed coverage down here, but if he played at FB again today then the loss of the young BJ-B isn't such a disaster.

Like Dorn isnt Scott Hill accepted, Hill was a great player and no-one has more respect for him than me. But because he isnt Hill or Wally Lewis or ...............doesnt make him a bad player. He is a finisher and support player rather than a creator and the last two games heve proved that, indeed his record proves that. He scores tries, did for us, did for salford, castleford and now us again.



I wish some people would get off his back, yes he makes mistakes - getting tackled into touch on 1st tackle was brainless - but he is enthusiastic, clearly enjoys playing, has always shoewn loyalty for London and is someone, i for one, would rather have him in the team than not. 3 tries in 2 games says it all................................

I agree he gets too much stick......but shown loyalty?????Like when we went to Salford to win trophies and they went down that year
