Rooster, even with a settled team, London need a real coach. I know you like Tony Rea, but even with spending up to the cap, he was unable to motivate the players last year. What is unforgivable, and I was at those games, was the total lack of conditioning. The days of professional RL athletes with bellies should be long gone. Nothing personal, just professional necessity.

Is that Rea's fault? Surely we had/do have a fitness coach

Who was S&C then and who is now? I know we had an S&C a few years ago when we were still getting battered who went on to work with the Kiwi National side. He's clearly no mug.

I fail to believe that players are unfit. Listening to Wire Quin he would offer a more plausible explanation in that with a team that spent so much time defending, that's what would knacker them out.

Do you know what the funny thing is Euclid. To this day if I speak to aussies who played under or worked with Rob Powell, they say he was a good coach. As the saying goes here, with (us) fans, when teams win games, it's the players. when they lose, it's the coach.

What's going to be really tough is this year's S&C having people at varying levels of fitness arriving, not on the same programme working together for the last 3-4 months.

Belief is all well and good, but it will take more than that to keep us up.


We are in a 4 way battle, maybe 5 way, to avoid the 2 unwanted spots and of those 4 or 5 teams, we "would seem" to have the weakest squad and we actually do have the least experienced squad.....



IF and it is the biggest [size=200IF[/size in the history of all sports IMHO, then we will not know we are safe until September......feelers may well be put out, but that's all. As for the Money that is available, the club is currently operating in 2 separate sections. The Playing side of it is funded by SKY money and whatever DH wants to throw into the kitty.....the Business side of it has been outsourced and we get no benefit from any of the other revenue streams enjoyed by others. The New Landlord is quite clear on his attitude to "investment", so he won't be chipping in anything, so we will again be reliant on TV cash and the attitude of Mr Hughes, who it would seem can't wait to get away.....so IF and it is the biggest[size=200 IF[/size I can find, we stay up, we will be working on a budget similar or less than 2014.

I want us to survive as much as anyone else does, but I honestly think if we do, it will cause the RFL more headaches than if we were to stick to the plan and slip down the ladder.

Questions can be asked of outside players long before September. The positive thing about what you said is that at least knowing by September will be much better than this time round when we found out in December!

There is no doubt that we are an inexperienced side but many are highly rated by their clubs and fans. Others are unknowns. While the Wire/Wigans/Saints elite teams may be beyond us we may shock enough of the middle road teams and our fellow relegation fighters to avoid 13th & 14th position. If we had all our overseas contingent here now i'd feel much happier though

Anything above 13th will be a bonus.

I think you are missing the point. I don't think any poster on here has a minute for Gus in the current circumstances. That really isn't the point. The point being made is more that the records stuck. What in terms of a solution including the removal of Gus is anyone suggesting or actually implementing to achieve. Cat call all you want but really nothing is being suggested that changes one iota. Set out an agenda that takes the club forward resulting in those people that seem to be despised being removed (or find £3m per year). Those suggesting a fans trust that might result in an actual decision making position have been mocked by some on here, go figure.
