| Kind of... just fed up with an empty stadium. Actually a stupid thread as I did enjoy The Stoop up until the past 2 seasons. Personally I can't wait for us to leave especially as the landlords don't seem to give a hoot about hosting/helping us anymore. Cheers...

| What has the landlord got to do with it. They hand the ground over to us for our matches. Would you like blue seats for our games?
If its flooded its flooded, only good for swimming, get the drift.

| 1 Newcastle would never get a crowd as low as 10k!
2 When the sub 1k crowds at the Hive feel like your rattling around a ground that's too big, does that give the green light to Esher?

| Didn't have strong feelings one way or the other about the Stoop until the 'on the road' games last season - atmosphere was much better at Leyton Orient and Gillingham ,reminded me of Griffin Park days! Seemed really flat to me coming back to the Stoop, this season the atmos has been terrible , I'm not sorry to be moving.

So eloquently put. You have to admit the atmosphere at The Stoop is at an all time low. The only highlight from the tiny crowds being when you verbally abused Kaufusi which he didn't take kindly... ... Personally I'm sick and tired of the lack of atmosphere there and looking forward to turning my back on Twickenham for good.

Yes, if your definition of "proper rugby ground" is "a pitch that's too small, owned by a football club and in desperate need of renovation"

I take it from your reaction that you enjoy nice shiny grounds populated by few people, and as for a small playing area, it might be of benefit to the Bronco's to minimise the amount of playing area the opposition can use!

| There was a good atmosphere at Griffin Park, but that's partly because everyone was in the single stand.
Brentford FC pushed the Broncos "on the road", because the pitch needed reseeding. The Stoop is a better ground for rugby.

There was a good atmosphere at Brentford coz we some games! The atmosphere would not be a problem at the Stoop if we won more than we lost!

| Quote ="daftdad"What u said. Moving will not solve anything.'" I don't love the Stoop, but if we could get anywhere near to filling it, I'd be happy. Excellent ground for Rugby.
Moving sure won't solve everything but it may, dependent on where we move and what tenancy terms we manage to negotiate, solve a few things such as being pushed around by "big events" over the road. But wherever we'll go, we'll find some new problems too.
Sad thing for me is that if it IS Barnet, then it's goodbye to me except maybe for the odd game. Will it be "hello" to lots of new fans? Difficult to be optimistic about that - it's not too far from Wembley and I don't get the impression that many nearby residents flock to CC finals there. It will be a tough sell, Superleague generally has lost almost all of its initial momentum. and a London-based team needs that to raise awareness and interest.
Money, money, money, it's essential and I don't see it coming our way.

| I have long thought The Stoop was our best chance of making this work in London. It's also very convenient for me and is a decent place pre and post match. Sadly I feel the few of us rattling around there is so depressing it won't help us get new fans to stay, if they show up in the first place. Sadly I believe we would now be better off at a smaller ground and perhaps not in Superleague.
Personally I will watch the club next season but can see me switching to Oxford and just take in the odd Broncos match in 2015 - assuming both are still around. For me the whole day is important and living where I do I can see Oxford being more enjoyable than Edgeware - if that is where we go.
I'm a league fan first, my team was Prescot Panthers, and could happily watch Oxford, Hemel or Skolars. Many here are Broncos first and I hope that the club get their next move right for their sake.

| I can't believe how many people have been mugged into thinking the Stoop is the cause of our problems. If you want to solve problems, identify and address the root cause. This ain't it.

| I agree it isn't the root cause. Sadly I don't see the major issues being tackled and believe that 1500 in a 16000 capacity won't attract first time fans back. They won't know about root causes, they'll just see a depressing match day atmosphere and not return. We need to create a match day buzz, winning and filling a good % of seats will combine to do that. Winning in front of thousands of empty seats I fear won't - unlike football we need to convert people to a new sport and the whole package is hugely important until people have been so frequently they become a rugby league fan. At that point the rest matters less. Sadly we don't have 14000 rugby league fans in London we can target to fill the empty seats.
Personally I'd love to see Broncos re-build at a smaller base and gain the momentum to return to The Stoop. Sadly there's probably more chance of me winning EuroMillions tomorrow, even though I don't buy a ticket.

It's just too big a stadium for our lot and I'm still not surprised Glower left. TW2 is the wrong place for RL IMHO however things may have been different if Mark Evans had remained with QuinsRU. But things are't OK and the Broncos are pretty much stuffed from where I see it. I'll be glad to see the back of the place after our last game and devoid of any sadness. Edit: I'd still love to know what on earth Gus does in his role to promote LB.

| Hmm so Gower left because the stadium was too big. Do you have any evidence to suggest anywhere else in London is better for RL than TW2 ? Have you done an analysis of our historic attendances ? Of course the Stoop is too big for us right now but being at the Stoop hasn't made the attendances . You can look elsewhere for the causes of that.

| I've done this several times and suspect others may have but I haven't seen any. After fulltime when the kids are playing on the field take a stroll out to the spot and take a look around. OK most will have left their seats by then but the lack of folks in the stands is very telling.

At least you can walk onto the field after the match. How many other fans can do that at other stadiums?

| Torbrek, that's because when the kids are in the middle messing around it means the game has finished and folk are on there wat home
Go to old Trafford grand final day after final whistle when Winfield messing around with the cupmost of stadium is empty
As homes go for rl in London the stoop is a purpose built rugby stadium access is good facilities for fans players and officials are good only problem is what it costs and fact we are tenants
Why no bums on seats? Because we keep losing and playing poor rugby when we lose
Best marketting tool we have is those 13 blokes on the park if they started performing then folk start coming back.
As for empty stadiums, Wembley gonna look daft with 2000 in if the unthinkable happened

I agree. The most telling thing for me has been the number of long-time supporters who have come on here in recent months to suggest they might not continue to go after this season. This has nothing to do with this stadium and a lot to do with a badly-run club and a poor team.

| Sadly I have become one of those fans, and I get free entry to games.
I have followed rl for 40 plus years the Broncos for probably 15 years but given the choice of reffing or watching the Broncos in the past I have tended to opt to come and watch, this season really not got the enthusiasm anymore to sit and watch so take my appointments and the money and just watch the tries on sky
I don't mind watching em lose, as long as they put in the effort lately that has not been the case, there is little passion left in the club
