much easier if you can get to Richmond but the trains from waterloo will be diverting at Barnes. Still - no reason why peeps from waterloo cant just go to embankment

| What's the area like for parking and how safe is it?
Also can you pay on the gate and if so what are the prices?
I'd have thought these were pretty straight forward questions but I can't find the answer to either on the club website.

| Quote ="braytontiger"couple of questions guys.
i am travelling down by train on sunday arriving at kings cross 12.00 can i get the tube to hounslow east and how far a walk is it to the stoop and more importantly is it a safe walk has im with my young son.
alternativly my first plan was to get to richmond then take the land train, obviously this is a no goer but is it easier to just get on a bus or take a taxi from richmond or go to east hounslow.
also forgot to mention our underground pass only takes us to zone 4 which would of got me to richmond can i still get to hounslow with the card.
network rail who would work for them hey.
'"
It's still possible to get to Twickenham station by "rail" on Sunday. There's a replacement bus service from Hounslow station. For people coming from the Reading direction there are buses at 13:27 and 14:27, 12 mins journey time. There are probably more at other times.
Whether there'll be enough buses to cope with the vast throngs is another matter.

£15 in IIRC, £5 to park in any of the carparks near the ground, very difficult to find anywhere to park anywhere close to the stadium because of parking permits.

| Just great, not only engineering works on the Twickenham line but I come from the Kent coast and we are going into London Cannon Street instead of Victoria on Sunday. They are honouring rail tickets on the underground round to Victoria. Anyone coming from Beckenham upwards goes into Blackfriars and has to get bus to Victoria if they need to. Undecided whether to just get district to Richmond and walk to Twickenham from there. Anybody know if you can walk alongside the river to Twickenham or how long it takes? If not, it's trekking round to Victoria, catching the connection to Clapham Junction then taking train to Hounslow and bus back. Timing isn't too bad, just annoying having the extra time put on coming round from Cannon Street and every time they do this it seems to take much longer to get up to London.

you can walk along the river if you want. Its pretty, but it meanders. Just get the bus from Richmond.
Or get the 267 from Gunnersbury to Twickenham as that stops right outside the station (its best to get off the stop before that)

| Thanks DarthChris. I'm not well up on bus routes in London as I don't have to use them very often. I will look into that. Either way it looks like an earlier start.

1. Get husband to drive,,,,,,
2.,.,,,,,you can guess the rest
See you in the kings after the game (seeing as you'll have a designated driver )

| Sorry gutters, don't have a designated driver as he can't ******** drive, I am the driver. Also he is returning from God's own country on Sunday. Am exploring several possibilities as the train stops at London Bridge so I might hop off, nip up to Waterloo and go on from there, all as broad as it's long really. See you in the bar afterwards.

As I suggested to Listy...London Bridge...across the water on foot and all the way to richmond on the Green Line...bus from there.

| Thanks Gutters, just pondering on the varied journeys, I might stay on train to Cannon Street nip down the underground and straight on District to Richmond. Not bothered about the bus (ok - only if raining) don't mind the walk, should only take about 15 mins. Yuk going into Cannon Street - as if I don't do that every working day. Well I hope the team make it worthwhile all this palaver. Daft Dad pm'd me and kindly offered me a possible lift but unfortunately I have one or two things to sort out first in London but it was very nice of him to offer.

| cheers for the info guys i in the end opted to go to richmond by tube and then got the replacment bus to twickers, coming home was bit more difficult due to the replacment buses stopping running but thanks to a couple of your fans we got a bus to teddington and then took the south west train to waterloo where we then used the tube.
a bit of a nightmare getting back but we did it in time to get our train back although plans to get a bite to eat were quashed so we made do with mcdonalds at kings cross.

Missed that, but a bit of pre-travel investigation revealed that although only one of my 4 trains was subject to planned disruption, the bus replacements for 2 of the other 3 were planned to stop only with the trains immediately before my scheduled trains.
So I travelled by car.
