Show me something\anything that proves the Hive have ripped up half the deal. I told you at the time that TK was extremely unlikely to be an investor in such a loss making enterprise but he is interested in Broncos staying at the Hive on a long term deal (I get the impression long term is an alien concept to you and Broncos management.)

Is the 2nd year of the agreement going to run as agreed in 2013 or has it/is it being renegotiated? Who wanted it renegotiated? If this isn't ripping up the deal it's doing a pretty good impersonation of it.
As for long term and the broncos.......after 2015 and the parachute payment, I'd steer clear of making any plans....

Problem is everything I've heard or seen just doesn't back your claim up that the Hive have ripped up the second half of the 2013 deal and Broncos are homeless unless they sell their soul to a rip off new deal for exorbitant rent.

Two weeks left on those memberships GF. I rang this morning and I can still get a membership starting next February if I want so clearly Hive staff are unaware they are guilty of mis-selling.

You haven't yet answered my simple Yes / No question. The deal is being renegotiated, does the original deal for 2015 still stand ? If not, then there is currently no deal in place for 2015.

Ok I've taken a deep breath and will try to answer this question. But I can't say yes\no.

That is my understanding. I am not David Hughes\Broncos management or the TK\Hive staff, I do not have inside access to what Broncos think has been agreed. As I have repeatedly said, everything I have so far from the Hive tells me that the Hive expect Broncos to be there for 2015 on the existing deal if a new longer term deal isn't agreed before the 2015 deal ends.

GF is claiming that information provided to the public by the Hive and Broncos is wrong. He maybe right but until something comes to light to support his claim then I remain sceptical.

I'm happy to say what I do and don't know. I have been told directly that Broncos have a 2 year deal at the Hive and that the Hive want a long term deal so they can plan for the future of the stadium. If I am speculating because that is the information I have then so be it.

So there are not any facts. There is second hand information abound. The club signed a deal with Barnet at the back end of 2013. No one on here has provided any evidence that they have actually read the agreement between the two clubs. Or if they have perhaps they will print the evidence. The club has a deal as reported in the press which included a second year, the exact terms of which I really cannot be bothered to try to re-read what the press and others have stated.

One person claimed we were homeless and has now back tracked a bit. It certainly is a scenario but not the likely one.

Both clubs are now claimed to be re-negotiating the deal. Was the deal for two years or one year with an option anyone read the legal agreement (not the press, the legal agreement)? So it's being renegotiated and the club have not announced it. So the club have learnt not to make a statement about location and find no wriggle room. That should be seen as an improvement on Gus.

We only had a second year on the deal, so a new deal is being negotiated now. It is hopefully a medium term (3-4 year) or even better a longer term deal. So is that what people want, a long term and hopefully sustainable base?

Any deal will be a commercial deal and we might be paying sums of money that may or may not be similar to at the Stoop. This might suit both clubs, one on a long term stable base and the other on securing a long term tenant. The finances in the championship and the new league structure are different. Both clubs are businesses and both will try to strike a deal, in negotiating you seek to get a position that both parties are happy with. They did at the back end of 2013 and they will come to agreement this year. Whether people on here not privy to the full agreement will or won't like. It really doesn't matter as it's probably not your pension at stake.

The club has nowhere else to go? Well that assumes we have to. The club haven't announced looking anywhere else. Well even if they are then they have learnt from the Gus era and that should be welcomed?

Given fans (And these have been described as "unimportant fans", also and I paraphrase here, as fools for giving their money to AK by a poster) will then be giving their money to the club rather than Barnet, a major criticism apparently ought to be welcomed. Growing the fan base and reconnecting with RL across London will be within the clubs interest and benefit. So that will be a positive as well won't it?

The club haven't announced they are staying at the Hive. Wigan and Hull have not made any press announcements that they are staying at their rented homes. So there is evidence that this approach is apparently a market norm.

Attendances are in decline. Well they have been for at least 10 years. No one will turn out for the Championship. Well no one turns up for a whipping (some Sunday press front pages excepted) but if you have a competitive team then you have something to market. Atmosphere improves and you get a better vibe. Reconnect with the RL community and you have a chance to develop.

The owner has to go? Well he almost did in 2013. I am sure he doesn't want to keep ploughing his pension into the club. However if he creates a now potentially sustainable club, winning or competitive on the field he has something to at least try to attract others into. You couldn't with the 2013 basket case, by 2015 you just might.

The club will fold if DH leaves? Well it might, but also when Branson left, and quite a few times through the eighties and nineties. Have a more sustainable and competitive team see above.

Will we get a chance at promotion? Well Joey is building a team. Come next year we'll find out if it's good enough to compete and also find out how good/bad the new system is. Isn't that why people watch this sport?

We can't change how we got here, we can be an influence on the future though.

Michael. i said at the start that the hive were not prepared to hae us as guests along he lines of the 2014 agreement for the 2015 second year....I have admitted my sensationalist topic title may ave been wrong,but it was and still is a possibility. the reality is that staff members have told a fan that they expect the broncos to be at the hive next year. This word, EXPECT, points to the deal not yet being done. the longer it remains undone, the stronger the position of the landlord because nobody else in London or the south east wants us.
we are now told that the Hive are holding out for a longer deal. whilst I understand that this would be better for AK, the reality is that he asked for the renegotiation back in June and if it ere simply a discussion over a few years, the deal would be done. It isn't....it is about money, guarantees and logistics/administration. AK has had 14,000 through the gate and he's not happy with whatever revenue that has delivered. he is a shrewd man. he knows that we arnt spoilt for choice, he knows that our owner isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and he knows we are desperate. what he hadn't banked on was the total apathy from the RFL.....he's probably puzzled as to why they arent giving him a marketing budget fr 2015.....

if we make the middle 8 next year I can see lesss than 10,000 coming through the gates over 14 games......less if its a score a ticket for 2nd tier games.then, moving on, if we are still a championship outfit in 2016, our total income from tickets and sky will be less than 500k.....he wants guarantees that Hughes will carry on paying the rent......how do you think thi is going to end? with us in partnership with the hive? its going to end in tears.....and yes, the club have been teetering on the edge before, but this time i really think we are gone......if we dont go up in 2015 I can see us out of business by 2016. i really hope I am wrong

I will continue to observe the destruction of the club I support from the far side of the world, cursing the RFL for making Lenegan walk away and Hughes for being an arrogant prick who's own unique brand of megalomania have destroyed AT EVERY TURN what was a potential giant of the game....he really has made a pigs ear from a silk purse.


I'll continue to post my musings on here too. I know it upsets some, but it gives them someone to have a whine about in between genuflecting at the altar of St David of Swinton. I left the UK nearly 5 years ago Michael......At the time I posted on here that I believed the team was capable of a top half finish and that the club could push on and build a fan base......what has happened since then is that we've lost 75% of our fans and 105 of the 134 SL games we've played....78% loss ratio under Hughes "guidance".....Oh.....we've lost about £15 million in that period too.....that's about £500,000 a win.
