A good start to the season is a given. with Wakey rebuilding under a new coach and the two Hull sides (as pointed out) also with new coaches im hoping that it will take time for them to get use to the new setups under their coaches.

so there is the only problem that i have. Is with so many new players coming in,just how long will it take them to settle into a team

I be happy with a top 8 finnsh (perfer top 6 but wont be to greedy). some more bodies thought the gates (like all of us have said). but most of all, i like to see a good run in the Challenge cup, maybe even the final its self (greedy aint i

so if they can settle as a team early enough in the season,then hoping the fixture draw is kind to us so can get a good start

same here, lets win more at home than we lose, lets try and avoid the silly score lines unless its us on top
get some bums on seats, top 8 would be nice, but chances of Old trafford still very slim i feel if we have a season like Catalan had this year I will be happy

Lets hope for no more lop-sided hammerings like we have recieved this year.....To be in contention in the final quarter of most games....Make the play offs and maybe get past the first knock out stage....How about of a bit of the Ol' Razzle Dazzle from a few years ago???...and mostly to be able to really "enjoy" a game without being plagued by the thought that I,m there more out of a sense of duty than expectation....Its only been the beer and good company that has got me through the last couple of seasons....

Gonna go for top 6. Yeah maybe it's optimistic, but we're now at the full cap and made some big signings, so there should be no more excuses.

To be honest, I don't know what to expect, I don't think Gus's expectations off the pitch are realistic
1) Gus was talking of 40% increase in season ticket sales. Sadly, but unfortunately characteristically, they've not got anything concrete in place for anybody yet, let alone newcomers, at the moment I'd be amazed if they achieve a 20% increase
2) He was talking of a 60% increase in the take up in hospitality, that is one hell of target to aim for, and one that I don't see being reached
3) On the pitch, I can see us making the play-offs, just!
4) A bit at a time, I'll settle for a 20% increase in numbers coming through the gate, but if we don't achieve wins I can see the numbers staying around this seasons woeful numbers
5) The biggest hope of all - I hope I am proved wrong on all counts

Is that really that hard with decent deals and a high profile roll out of the new club with the new players we have on board

No, I would hope that 20% would be more realistic, had he said 20%, I would have agreed, not automatically gone for half of what he said



On reflection, I suppose 60% is achievable, I doubt that there were more than two occupied for most games, so one extra = 50%, hardly a massive step that will fill the coffers, but a step in the right direction

9th, a Challenge Cup quarter final, and an improved home record. All realistic aims I think - although on the home form I don't hold out too much hope. Our record in the last two years has been dismal.

Bloody hell, and people accuse me of being pessimistic. I will be furious if we don't make the playoffs this season considering some of the shabby sides that have scraped into them this year.

Hard to disagree with any of the above. keys are

- more wins than losses at home, which will get people coming back
- increased gate 4, 000 has to be tha aim and a couple of 5,000+
- 8th if we do better fantastic, but top eight should be achievable (Hull finsihed 8th on 27 points 13 wins, 13 losses and a draw. 8/9 home wins 4 away and a bonus will do it - though agree home form the last two years says we wont do it!)
- cup down to luck of draw, wembley would be great - but we would need luck.........................

The thing is, if all this time, money and effort had been spent 2-3 years ago then all the recent ructions and ill-feeling could probably have been avoided. However, there may have been a good reason at the time. Probably lack of available £sd.
And yes, top 8 should be the minimum target given the expenditure.

I cannot believe some of the negative comments. The last couple of seasons have been a huge let down, but next year we have a totally different team and prospects. Given the signings we have made and promising youngsters coming through I think we have every reason to expect a good season and push for a play off spot. Hopefully will be up for a good run in the cup as well.

On paper the 2012 team is the best we have assembled for many a season. Hopefully RP can get them working together and make the Stoop a tough place to visit.
