| I am surprised we are leaving Bushey. As said above, quite a bit of money has been spent there. Its one thing playing at Ealing but is there the space/infrastructure there to cope with another team training as well as office space for the admin?

| Quote ="willow6666"Reasons for Ealing are that :
Barnet were given cash to make sure we had a venue to survive. There was never a future at the Hive.
We need to move to consolidate the entire club in one place. We are treated like an away team at the Hive.
The club needs to generate some money as we don't at the Hive.'"
So in other words the club took all that time a couple of years ago to make a completely bonkers decision.

If it is Ealing then i think this is an excellent idea, and would add that we do a leaflet drop to every house around the ground with the same offer, but i leave the marketing to others that know best Jim/GF and others

| What would help to promote the club upon moving to Ealing, would be if we won this Super Eight Shield thing. It would make us sound like winners to any potential new fans.

| The seating layout of the ground is here:
[urlhttp://www.tfsc.co.uk/pdf/2015/Rugby-Pitch-Plan.pdf[/url
The lower main stand and the Damian stand behind the posts are now largely below pitch level since it was raised for drainage then raised again for the 3G.
So maximum spectators who can actually watch the rugby is in the scattered upper stand of 221. Take away from this the corporate, club friends and family allocation and you are probably looking at maximum ticket sales capacity of less than 100.
Hosting huge 500 plus crowds like Sheffield on a rainy day will be remembered as a nostalgic dream.

| After 20 odd years that's us finished we won't be there next season. Can't do this anymore. Galloping backwards instead of limping forwards. Shambles and no thought gone into season ticket holders and regular fans.

Don't all rush for those 100 seats at once folks!
I remember standing on the touchlines watching my kids playing sports ( at some of the posher schools / clubs they had grandstands!) but to watch a professional team , sorry to pay to watch a professional team in a setup like this? What an utter joke!
We'd have been better off sharing with the Skolars - at least you can SEE the pitch from their seats!

| The Pitch can't have been raised that much it obscures the entire stand. Indeed I just looked at some of their last seasons highlights and I think very few of the 480 spots in that stand have an obscurred view. The reality is it's about the right size for our club where we are now, like it or lump it.

It would appear to those of us not in the inner circle, that the club is being prepared for self sufficiency probably circa 2017. By moving us to a sports facility that won't charge the earth, the club are preparing for life as a semi-professional outfit and so long as the core of 250 or so regular support stay, then there the club will stay until someone else fancies a crack at making it work.
This, in my opinion anyway is better than what nearly happened in 2013, when the club would have been dead in the water.

Thought I'd have a stab at answering your questions
1 - a park with a rugby pitch marked on it
2 - there is no ambition
3 - in the case of Broncos it appears to be solely for the amusement of David Hughes

| Just had a thought, say we drew an SL club at home in the Cup next season - not necessarily one of the big ones, just one with a reasonable level of traveling support, do we forfeit home advantage or do we ask Skolars if we can use their ground for the day as they have a greater seating capacity?

Who's obsessed? It's just they've got more seated accommodation than Ealing!

| Look our biggest gate this season was 1400 against Bradford and that could (at a pinch) be accomodated at Ealing, where we will pay a lot less for the priviledge. Who knows maybe we can help out with more of the Mobile stands and building a second terrace at the other end.
