Those are questions I cannot answer except by telling you what happened this season for Barnet Members. I don't agree that memberships and Season tickets are the same. You don't need to push people to rejoin a membership if they are already signed up. That changes the dynamics pre season where most clubs are desperate to get everyone they already had back on board.

For Barnet memberships, there was no change in price for new members, the OAP age didn't change, Junior members that upgraded went to the concession price as you would expect. There was no waiving of joining fee or special offer for new members to join. Those who had joined and remained a member for the whole previous year were given an 8% reduction on the membership price. I would say the focus was on retaining existing membership rather than looking to sign more up and about showing those considering joining that their joining will be rewarded if they stick with it.
So last year I paid £29pm for me, £15 for father-in-law and £7.50ea for my kids. This year I pay £26.70, £13.80, & £6.90.
All of this was announced about 2 months before the new season started.

Yes. 2005 we almost folded and 2006 was a rebirth. Since 2008 the club has spiralled downwards and I for one (one of many......one of far more than are left) refuse to accept the lower targets.....we were a SL team and we should be one again. Beating Halifax or Leigh and feeling good about it is short termism....if we don't go up in 2015 we may well fold before 2016......we aren't Barnet and we don't play soccer. .....as for fans coming back? What fans?

Mel, I'm not suggesting you can answer everything on behalf of the club and the info on Barnets pricing structure is useful guidance. But when people say they want to see some evidence of next season at the Hive you can sort of understand it, given our nomadic existence and the last few years of turmoil. Also many are very used to old style season tickets and the annual 'sell'/information towards the end of the season.

My point is more the evidence of promoting next year. Also making the sell to current walk up fans wouldn't go a miss, nor to the wider world. The squad being put together is evidence enough of intent for next season on the playing front. Some evidence of life off field wouldn't go amiss.

Some of them could well return to see competitive team in the Championship, but travelling support will be significantly less so I doubt average attendances will improve.

By the way.....4k is where we were before Hughes and his particular brand of club management took over. we are 2,700 light.......not 1,500! Next year we will not be the best supported club...we wont even be in the top 6 best supported clubs.....and I can assure you, a 1,280 average will not be the order of the day next year.

I'll rephrase to make it less ambiguous. Let me know when your source makes further claims about 2015 and you have the actual rental cost for Broncos staying at the Hive 2015. I have been told as recently as this week that Broncos are definitely at the Hive next season, whether it be on the second year of the 2 year deal or a renegotiated deal for a long term. As I said earlier, my understanding is the Hive are not keen on the second year of the deal and would prefer a longer deal in place and I completely understand why this would be the case given the position with whether Underhill is sold and a larger North stand is built to house the Broncos operation should they decide to stay beyond this year.

Let me make this clear. I can find nothing and no one that supports GFs claim that Broncos may be homeless in 2015 or even that they wont be at the Hive 2015.

Yet the club have not mentioned where they are playing in 2015.......and the deal for 2015 that was heralded is being renogotiated at the request of the landlord. Unless he is he most benevolent if souls, you'd envisage him requiring more coin than he took this year....and the club are back as tenants once again. You are right GF that apart from initially stating they are playing at the Hive for two years they have not issued a statement since seeing your claim on this forum.

You really need to go back to December 2013 and see how the agreement was announced. It was a deal for 2014 with an option for a second year. The landlord wants nothing to do with the arrangement for this year, next year, so the club are renegotiating the terms for 2015 which will include us paying rent.....something that we were told wouldn't happen in this defining new dawn for the club. We've been fed bull and some are greedily and gratefully wolfing it down

As it is though, the hive statement is bollox because the hive ripped up the 2nd year part of the deal. AK is now no nearer being an investor in the club than he was in 2012 before he'd even heard of us.......we are paying him rent for 2015. Best an easiest bit if business he's done in ages I reckon.....took a cash injection from the RFL last year and now has us bang to rights over a barrel because nobody else wants us and the RFL don't give a flying one......
