Last year Junior ticket price £30 for the whole season plus free entry to all away games. As I said the membership pricing this year is a rip off.

I would suggest that you could open the doors for anyone to come in free and you'd still have plenty of spare seats and standing room at the Hive.

I believe that 30 quid last year would have got a junior to all 27 games if they so desired....home and AWAY! The intransigence surrounding the way ticketing is delivered at the Hive is just another indication of how far we had fallen before the RFL paid AK to take us in this year. London Broncos have no say over the pricing of tickets to London Broncos games........it truly is as if the lunatics have taken over the asylum.....which I am afraid to say, is no laughing matter

Nope....but the free away tickets for Kids did encourage a fair few away fans to visit the stoop, whereas if they'd had to pay for them, they would have stayed away.

I can see from the input of our new soccernista posters here that there is little understanding of the core differences between fans of fall over wendyball and Rugby League.

To summarise:
S'aright, you've got the 'ump with me like I get with you. I think we are both equally frustrated with the club but in different ways and we have different personalities and views which means I will find something you say annoying and vice versa. Like when the season starts and people will say things about what happens on the pitch without knowing facts and I pipe up and offer alternatives (not always correct ones obviously) but alternatives nonetheless.

On the 9s. A lot of NRL clubs didn't take it as seriously as the NRL would have liked. The NRL asked that teams put in marquee players and had to have one of their top 5 paid players in each squad. The fact that you had two 40 odd year olds and a club's head coach not bothering to go sort of sums it up. But it was still and enjoyable and successful event.

God you are a strange one aren't you? You seem to think that the "bring a mate" campaign currently at the tail of every communication from the RFL guy seconded to the club is the work of a crack team of media geniuses locked away for a strategic planning weekend.
What you fail to understand is that there are now les than 200 season ticket holders/members and another 300 or so hard core fans left....and they have all brought mates, brothers, parents, kids, kids mates, kids mates parents to games. In 2012 these fans were to be rewarded for "bringing mates" as part of their ST allowances......less than 5% did.

So no, it's not No fans No Broncos. Your lord and master has been given some cash with which to market the game to the locals......not just to try and flog RL to 300,000 kids the local council paid him to let them come and see his facility.

No Marketing = No fans = No Broncos.........the Marketing bit is down to you and your precious owner. Remind me again how brilliant he has been at that so far?


BTW, I said free "away" kids....they bring full price paying adults with them and it is the same across ALL superleague clubs! If you're going to attempt spin, at least put some effort into it

Whilst this BeesKnees bloke is anything but GF is missing one important fact about Barnet.

The demographic for non-league football is almost exclusively anoraks and coffin dodgers.

I'd cut Kleanthous slack at not marketing that to the masses.

I'm happy with the numbers who come to Barnet games which is why GFs little jibes don't bother me. It's in the top half dozen for the league they are in. 1100 of those who go have bought into the membership scheme and we don't get 1000's of away fans coming through the door (50 away fans on Sat).

As GF says the target audience isnt the same, we represent a town on the edge of London, there are 3 other clubs who originate from London Borough of Barnet and we have to compete with a dozen london league clubs who are higher up the pyramid than us.

Broncos represent a far larger area with far less local competition and it sounds like they are guaranteed a decent number of away fans to most games. Reading this back it sounds like away fans outnumber home fans at every game which is pretty sad.

Can't say I've seen many of those wierdos at Barnet.
I support Barnet because it is where I was born.
