Why should he take chances? Fev have a good recent record against SL opposition in the cup and should not be taken for granted and should be respected.

We had beaten them in the Regal Trophy two months before so they were out for revenge!

So no James Mendeika in the squad......I wonder if the cup weekend counts against his 5 week loan from Warrington?.......if now 4 weeks it hardly seems worth it.

This is a strong squad that should be beating a championship side comfortably. If we make the gain line through bryant, wheeldon etc gower will run the show and we will have plenty of scoring opportunities out wide with dixon and robertson (if fit). Will be interesting to see how ellis and lamont play against their old club.

I remember the match at Barnet - amazing kick off by us into the wind *before anyone really did short lick offs. It went about 30 yards before coming back in the wind and we got it. Fev were not impressed at teh result hence wanting revenge. Ah good times back then under 'Tank' Gordon.

Fair enough. We have sorely missed our right centre, Sam Smeaton, all season, and your guys eventually exploited that (the vast majority of our tries conceded this season have come down our right flank and we have been filling in with fullback, loose forward and props at centre all season).
Dixon looks a terrific talent and has done for a while.

On a different topic, many of the Fev fans have been extremely complimentary about the stewarding at The Stoop. What a pleasure to have friendly faces going out of their way to be helpful with information etc. Most Rovers fans really enjoyed their day out despite the result.

I suspect the warder knows where we are moving to and is waiting for the first decent "bad news day" to announce it to us....as for "God only knowing", I have no idea what the Warder thinks when he looks in the mirror, but surely he can't believe he is an infallible deity.

The Red shirts at the weekend could be a certain "club servant" flexing his muscles....there's no way Gus would wear that down the pub, but TR has been with the club long enough to know the value of keeping the fans happy........either way, let's hope enough fans make enough noise and the shirts get adopted for next year.
