there home ground is at Aldershot, and cannot see them taking it anywhere else

It should be a good game, the army had a good squad for the inter services last year and took the trophy so the RAF will be looking for revenge!!!

micky, whats the parking situation like at the ground??

They may restrict car access for this match. If so, and the grass opposite isn't too boggy, they will open that up for car parking. Alternatively turn left out of the stadium, turn left at the traffic lights and you will find what is signposted as the official stadium car park. (It is a handful of minutes walk from the stadium.)

They will def restrict parking at the stadium trust me. I would hope they will open the field up over the road as the main car park as they should get a few folk there
The TJ appointed (well one of them) thinks kick off is 13-30 I have not been able to get any other info so sorry no better informed, RFL site reckons 1400 the match officials think 13-30

Why will they restrict parking at the stadium- they will fill the spaces at the ground, fill the spaces in the athletics stadium 10 metres away (as they always do) and if they don’t open the Queens Parade fields across the road the car park 200 metres past the stadium is available. They even have more parking at the back of the stadium at the new combat centre where there is a dedicated walkway to the stadium- How much parking do you need within 200 metres of the pitch. If you want more there is the tennis centre, hockey centre and gymnasium all within 400 metres, all with parking. Add to that the road leading to the above three facilities where you can park.

All of the above for a crowd of 50!!

There will be 51 of us and 52 if I can get Woody to come!!! With you that's 53 so at least 3 Army supporters!! 54 if we can mobilise SteveL!!

The spaces at the athletics stadium by the club house, and the few parking spoaces down by the stadium are normally restricted during the inter service games to Players, VIP's and officials, and even the officials struggle to get in to that car park, not sure if they are still doing some building work there as well.
It will not be a problem if they put the cars over the road, the army are usually pretty well organised

I doubt the crowd will be anything like what they get for the inter service games given its a Sat-dissapointingly

You would hope they will have the bar open in the athletics clubhouse to celebrate an Army victory!!

No mate not running the line, one of the TJ is ex Navy though so there is a combined service representation on the officials side
On the back of that i got a text from him today and Kick Off has been confirmed as 1400!

Not sure what crowd size will be, the army may bus a few folk in on "duty" to try and urge the boys on
Am sure the bar will be open for the Army boys to drown there sorrows when the RAF romp away with it

Seeing as there are 4 fixtures one day and 3 fixtures on the other maybe the Forces game could be an extra game in the Magic Weekend in the future ?

Having watched the past few matches between the Army v RAF to my mind the RAF go in as favourites (albeit the Army won a tight game last time out)-It will be interesting to see what stops the Army have gone to to make players available!!!

Yep thats right! I will be No 54, and I'm bringing along soldier son and his younger brother to make 55 and 56!
