| Some craziness in giving penalties away, and not taking the two points but we deserved to win and played some good stuff. Onwards and upwards
Great allround performance from all the players. Best game so far by Gale. Purdo awesome, Orr really playing well at hooker, Randall close to MOM and Penny showed us some real talent. Wish we could sign him. Esders did some good stuff as well.

| Currently Warrington are winning by 32 points, IF (and it's a big ask) they win by 42 points then we go above Salford into 12th.

| It's the big one next week — no time for that!
Got to feel sorry for Salford. We all know how it feels.
Edit: [url=http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,12780_6127408,00.htmlGale and Peardum[/url (sic.) on the win.

| It's quite clear that you need to focus your mental and physical energies on your revitalised league battle. Therefore, I'm sure you won't mind giving us the Challenge Cup game, yes?

I think the cup game has all the makings of a classic........The team seem to have got their self belief back and when they are in the mood can turn anyone over. You will still be favourites, but not massive ones.......

Not sure we will be favourites, actually. At present we have eight first team regulars out injured with two of our stand-ins also out injured. So if that is the case when we travel south, we will have to blood at least one total newbie, which isn't ideal in a knock out game. We have no centres and only one wing at present. Plus one fewer brute on the bench (Maurie injured). And we were lucky to beat you last time. So I'm wondering if anyone will call our contest. I think it's too close to call to be honest. Even if we get all our regulars back in time.
ETA: I have to say that Quins third try today was the best I've seen in Superleague this year. The handling was fantastic. Real quality stuff.

| Lots of the boys had good games today, Gale, Randall, Dorn, Penny etc etc.
But I think Oliver Wilkes was also very good. He made yard after yard in the tackle and also put in a few big hits.
Very under-rated in my opinion!!!!!

| After watching the game second time round (in a much calmer frame of mind) David Howell was tremendous as well. Tremendous amount of tackling as well as great centre play making some great passes. If we could play Penny against Saints at the moment I would really fancy our chances with the players as confident as this.

As Purdo told me at the forum last week...The team had trouble getting into any bars after their game last year as the door policy was strictly against groups of fellers getting in...Hope they had the sense to pre book a place to get a few well deserved brews down their necks.......I know I did and I was at home this year watching it on the goggle box... Great win....Great play...Great to be a Quin right now,We could well turn the Saints over next week at this rate.

| Fantastic that we've now won three games in a row after just two wins in 22 before that. Let's hope we can turn Saints over next weekend now. I've never seen us beat Saints, the only SL team I've never seen us beat. I think the last time we beat them at home must have been early in 2002, the first year at Griffin Park, which was the last home game before I got hooked. We're long overdue.

| Back to the performance, did think at one point in the second half we were going to blow it, why oh why did Dorny run straight to the touch line when he did, and good god how many times did we get pinged for messing around at the play the ball, and quite concerning, especially with saints coming up how many offloads did Hull get away in the tackle? far too many. But we won and the boys seemed to be enjoying it.
Dont normally like having a go at the officials but a couple of things, how on earth did the touchy manage to miss the hull foot in touch?
And the view on messing around at the play the ball seemed a bit one sided, one in particular was O'Meely in a standing tackle with LMS ref had called 5 and release LMS was trying to get the ball to the ground to play it and the HULL player just kept the ball clamped with no reaction from the ref
Not having a go at Hull they played the ref better than we did, it just did not seem that consistent
Couple of the so call ball steals were pretty dodgy as well, it is down to the tackled player to keep hold of the ball as far as i recall

| While talking of penalties, can't understand Howells being penalised for treading on Hull players hand whilst regaining his feet, looked completely accidental.
Cast back a few minutes earlier when Penny scores and Tansey deliberatly stamps on Pennys' hand.
Very inconsistent refereeing and BM quite rightly raising the point in his post match comments.

| I'm helping we get 10 years of crappy referring “balanced out” all in one game next weekend.
Cause they keep telling us it “balances” out.
And I think we're definitely in credit.
Trevor Hunt (neutral commentator, he works on Manchester, but was helping out Ian Ramsdale) pointed out all the penalties where one way. Phil Clarke [url=http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,25212,12532_6105377,00.htmlwrote[/url a very good piece on the Sky website as well.
But nothing will change.

| the hand issue was TJ call, and from all the tv replays looked totally accidental Howell was just trying to set as marker, thought it was pretty harsh call, not the sort of thing you would expect the TJ to come on for, if it was stamp then yes but he was just standing up

| Superb play and good win, now on the Saints and that would be a foundation to build on, beating such a top club and one to do some marketing and media around.
Not many St Helens supporters travelled to Edinburgh as they said they were going to go to The Stoop?

Umm, I see what you mean. Saints really looked like they were lacking a lot of key players against HKR today.
Just as well for the Robins or we might have found out if the scoreboard at Murrayfield could cope with a three-figure score.

| Thought Saints quick play of the ball was very good Yesterday. Sundays cup tie has All the makings of a classic but Quins will have to start well, gain momentum and finish chances off. Really think the Tv people have picked the wrong Sunday tie to show.
