As long as they give their all while accepting a wage that is all the club and fans have the right to ask. Eddie did this, he always went above and beyond. Its a business and if clubs dont want a person any longer as part of the club no matter who it is they will get rid of them. Players move teams to hopefully gain experience and play at higher levels. Their career is short therefore I think booing a player who has given their all because he wants to progress his career when the chance comes along is beyond contempt. I would never want to see deceit gaining anything as has happened in the past (we all know who I mean) but when a player wants to move on let him. He has a chance for himself and if you refuse to let him go you wont get the best from him. I may be wrong but is this the first time since Denis Moran that we have actually been paid a fee
One incident in how many visits? Does not justify the comments. As a fan sat in the stands i have personally challenged a broncos shirt wearing fan for his language and racial comments, an idoit among many, would never cross my mind to tar all broncos supporters with the same brush.
But hey if folk think its sensible or acceptable to make derogitory comments about other RL clubs fans fine, thats your choice, its not an action i think is right or should be condoned.
The attacks I received in the stand at Castleford was shameful, but even more disgraceful was in the stand at my home town St Helens, walking down steps to leave the stand, being pushed around by several Saints fans. But most ground never had any trouble thank goodness!
As one who travelled to away games regularly. Abuse from home fans is par for course..
Halifax and Dewsbury, are grounds where stewards have had to intervene. But it happens all over to some degree. Yet other fans are very welcoming..
In truth, it really is a very small minority that cause these problems.
