The father of one of my wife's friends is a London Irish director, and he told me a few years back that they wanted to come back to London, but that a new stadium for Brentford would appeal more than Loftus Road or another football stadium - more hospitality and a chance to take a share in the ground during construction. The fact that they have committed to Reading might mean they think it will never happen. Good luck to London Welsh - I like going there with my son's minis, and the history is something else. Living the dream...

Back on thread.....we don't need to move anywhere (YET)....so no need for the conversation regarding a return to TW8.....that said tre....I would suspect that Brentford miss the revenue we brought in (if we paid them that is)

They never seemed that bothered about it, or about forming a long term partnership. Its so important for a long term business plan in top level sport to have your own stadium, or a partnership with a council owned stadium. Thats why somewhere like Milton Keynes or Oxford could really work, I know its not London but if the local council want you youve got a much better chance. and there really is nowhere like that in London, there's too much top level sport already to divert the attentions of the public and media. We're a small fish in a massive bowl. As a big fish in a small bowl we could be much more succesful.
