| Bentham has often been slated on this forum, but I think he had a very good game today - got nearly all his decisions right, was consistent for both teams, used the video-ref when appropriate, and allowed the game to flow so it was very good to watch.

| Hull are terrible for playing for penalties.
Fonua was penalised by Bentham in the opening 5-8 minutes for looking for something, they were winning penalties all night for for against us a few weeks back for conning the ref. Refs are so inconsistent week in week out but agree thought he had a good game yesterday.

It was talanoa who was penalised in the first couple of minutes yesterday for lifting the leg of the opposition player as he got up to play the ball. I've never seen fonua do that before so your post isn't correct. We also received 8 penalities in 80 minutes against you so no one was winning penalties "all night" for anything.
I agree with the OP about bentham. Very good display yesterday and wasn't constantly penalising for nothing so the game flowed really well which suited Hull more than leeds

Remember the first game of the season when you beat Wakey with Danny Houghton's cheating by passing into 3 different players while they were laying prone on the floor, 6 easy points for Sneyd, I don't suppose you were playing for penalties there either, your right about Bentham though, decent game and surprisingly few penalties for a tense semi final.

What i was talking about against us was Fonua throwing the ball backwards 2/3 times to claim penalties, conning the referee for interference, Brough mentioned it also in an interview. The first one which lead to the first try was a complete joke. The one in the 2nd half to get out from by your sticks to half way up the field was an even bigger joke!
Either way who it was is irrelevant, Hull seem to be looking for penalties quite abit. I know some players from all clubs do this just seen it happen with Hull a fair few times recently!!

| To be fair, Fonua does annoy me slightly (and I am a Hull fan), but from a players perspective, if I have won the collision (which 90% of the time he does), landed on my front, and defenders are leaving arms/legs/bodies in the ruck, preventing a quick play the ball, then I am going to want a penalty
